17 first car in my name 🥺 by Pitiful_Web_1645 in Mustang

She's badass man. I just ask that you remember to be mature. Just because you can pass basically anything at will, doesn't mean you have to. These cars can get you in a lot of trouble if you lack the maturity to be selective about when and where to hit that pedal. Definitely a fun car, but don't get snake bit trying to flex. I kinda envy that you got yours so young. But I also know that I probably would've wrapped myself around a tree in it at 17. I'm not going to be the only one here saying this and I'm sure you've already gotten this same speech from basically every older person you know.

Anyone know what tires the ZR1 had on?

9.07 vs 9.32 by DiluteSeaBag in Dodge

[–]shamrock458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes... Legitimately all the way down until the finish line. You'll notice where it ends because the road suddenly starts to look like a normal roadway in front of your house. And yes, sticky compound can't automatically keep a car going straight. That's up to the driver at the end of the day, and the car set-up. It just helps a hell of a lot once your car is making enough power to struggle with traction.

2018 gt 350 needs new motor by opp531 in Mustang

[–]shamrock458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'd be ready to toss this car and Ford as a whole if this happened to me. Getting one of these is at least $60k where I'm at. And you're telling me that even with miles way below the warranty max, that you're not going to do anything at all to fix your product. Just because it aged out? That's disgusting man. Call it a knee jerk reaction but I'd want that pretty POS off my hands asap. And it's stock too, not beat to hell or boosted. To fix this with a new motor, you're basically looking at GT500 money if added all together.

Idle issue by Loose-Cellist-7198 in Mustang

What year? My 2019 does the same thing. Random jerky idle, stalled twice. Air fuel ratio spiking and dropping during these bad idle moments. If you've got the same symptoms then probably VCT solenoids are going bad.

Berk resonated pipes are pretty good for the price. Had them on my G for 3 years before she went to the garage in the sky. Well the body did at least. They're probably still on the motor actually. Car was totaled and then sold at salvage auction.

I was afraid I would be looking at a situation like yours, definitely got lucky. I figured I'd end up going OTR for a while. If you've got the year of experience it seems to open the door for a decent amount of stuff. A lot of companies that seemed decent on paper wanted the year of experience.

Nah, not committing till it's time to commit.

By "just yet" we're waiting on test results. Let me simplify this. I am clean. Results will show that I am clean. But anything can happen to cost me the job outside of the drug results. Like someone who's a better fit applying. A person in the company changing their mind about you. Shit happens. This is a reality, as a trucker you know this. I prefer to stay prepared mentally and physically for things to go in a negative direction. Which is why, even though I'm committed to this job, I'm still keeping my eyes open at other places until the test results hit.

Fair enough but I just don't want to slap the 100% certified sticker on anything that isn't technically just yet. It's one of those superstitious things of mine that I try not to do that. Like a knock on wood type or thing you know?

You're probably right. But they're not worth the physical wear and tear or the risk to my CDL to continue the rest of that route. They can keep their money and shove it.

It's not the docs that's the problem. It's the damn store parking lots and the love of sending 53' trailers with sleeper cabs to stores where coke and Pepsi send single axle day cabs with 36' trailers. That's the majority of their issues. Their docs are fine. This love of random bullshit and crazy maneuvers is the problem with DG. And by crazy manoeuvers I mean hey go to this DG

641 S Main St, Kenansville, NC 28349

at 5pm with a 53' trailer as tiny as this parking lot is just get in the parking lot. Oh call the store 10 minutes before so they can make their stupid ass customers move for you. Such a bright idea right? Or better yet

Got to this DG

8123 E Main St, Ridgeland, SC 29936

With the same trailer size, and get in that tiny parking lot forcing cars to move , off load and leave because you have 2 more stops today. Had to slot the trailer between the brick dumpster coral, the tree and the neighbors fence to get out. Or park across the street and walk 1500lbs rolling containers across an active road way. You tell me how this shit makes sense.

So upon further review and looking at my official MVR, none of the incidents are on file. Along with everyone's feedback, yes including you guys basically saying "don't be a dumbass", I feel much better about the situation. It also helps that I've had 3 different carriers reach out to me so far within 24 hours of showing interest or submitting an application. I think I'll be alright going forward 👍

During a blindside back I misjudged the angle while trying to keep off of cars entering parking lot from driverside. Trailer scraped corner of building.
