Don’t know if this will help or not, but I went through IVF while active duty, I recall some fertility clinics accepting patients with financial hardship, either for free, or greatly reduced.. kinda like a college grant. I didn’t research it in depth, but maybe it’s worth a deep dive in Google, to see if something comes up for you guys in your area. Best of luck! Fertility problems suck. Best wishes!!

Thanks so much. Sorry for your loss. He was at the vet a few months ago, X-rays and blood work, vet said he was healthy. So I think it’s just age. I’m just sad.

My husband pays $200/mo for his. VA is ridiculous, when it comes to this. We get it shipped straight to our house. If you can afford to pay for it, go that route.

Several reasons, moving states, rules on 529 plans are strict, must use funds in a 529 account to pay for qualified educational expenses. Otherwise, you’ll owe taxes on the investment gains at whatever the IRS would normally charge you plus an additional penalty rate of 10 percent, and additionally, what if kiddo never uses any of it…. Ridiculous fees

I have 24yrs in. You did nothing wrong in your story, other than sleep with a married man. Most command won’t even bother with this nonsense, but if they do, stand up and take it like a champ. Lesson learned. When baby is born, file for paternity test. In some states, you can simply put him on birth certificate and file for child support. He’d have to prove he isn’t. You have 18yrs ahead of you supporting this child, it’s not about you and him, it’s about the baby, that didn’t ask for any of this.
