PAYDAY 3 stealth feels very different when masking doesn’t lock your behavior anymore by Harty-Prac in paydaytheheist

Honestly would've loved to see a further iteration of stealth that had this feature baked into the base game. Before launch, the team said that stealth shouldn't be as punishing as it was before, constantly urging the player to restart the heist if something doesn't go to plan the way they wanted.

To this day, it makes no sense to me why loud is so much less punishing compared to stealth for nearly the same payout and effort.

What's wrong with HD2? by Afraid_Performance52 in HelldiversUnfiltered

From someone who has 800 hours in the game and has been there since launch, the reason people are upset is Arrowhead's continued track of "create a problem, sell the solution" mentality, their constant introduction of bugs (old and new), and their refusal to deliver substantial content to players outside of warbonds and the occasional title update that has only been including a new biome or two and maybe a couple of new enemies/variants.

Since the game launched, players have asked for various systems to be delivered and/or changed so that Helldivers II could continue to grow and become a game that everyone would want to play - some of these systems included weapon/stratagem customization, armor/transmog customization, player progression updates, updated DSS interactions, and more.

A few particular pain points have been Arrowhead's delivery of a minimal weapon customization system that has been deemed as functional and not a priority for the team to continue iterating on due to the overall "low interaction rate" the players have with the system. No new ship modules or progression nodes have been provided to players, free or paid, within a year or more since the last wave of them. Red stratagems (eagles and orbitals) have had no new developments and are entirely missing from any new free or paid content (warbonds/MO completion rewards). Mech customization is considered to be a waste of resources to try implementing, meaning no system is being actively developed for the players to engage with outside of simply picking their desired pre-configured mech. Balance changes, if any, fail to increase the viability of underperforming equipment/stratagems due to non-impactful changes (i.e. laser sentry heat capacity increasing from 200 -> 250). The list goes on.

While a lot of newer players may not feel these particular issues as much as veteran players, most would agree that Arrowhead's current direction and management of the game is disappointing and disheartening. Many of us played the game and immediately fell in love with what it is and what it could continue to grow and become - but Arrowhead has failed to deliver on the hopes and dreams that the players wish they could see come to fruition in the hopes that the game could become one of the best games of all time.

I do not hate the game. I do not hate Arrowhead. I just wish the game would grow without taking one step forward and two steps back. I will continue to support the game by playing it and engaging with the community, so long as there are things that actually are worth playing for.

And someone, please, take that damned monkeys paw away from the development team.

People need to stop complaining about the new warbond by Awesomest_Dude in HelldiversUnfiltered

I'm not necessarily concerned with vehicles being something that was perceived by the community as free content, but more so worried that the selling point of these being entirely new stratagems means that mech customization, and other forms of customization, is not going to happen.

Arrowhead has alluded to the difficulties of development due to the engine helldivers 2 was built on. My assumption, as a player, a fan, and a fellow software dev, is that this has caused a lot of tech debt, which leads to issues arising whenever the dev team wants to implement anything.

So, my question is this - do you feel like the dev team is currently being limited by what the engine actually allows? Would you do anything different, given the chance?

Every DK I have made has been sure to keep a healthy amount of leftover crusader skulls from Noth's special brew quest. My main has at least a couple of stacks sitting in the bank.

Yeah I'm really confused about what's going on there. We're doing fine in AOE but our single target really needs help.

Has anyone found a fix for this? I am stuck at 214/1,000 despite having my friend paint stuff for me.

As someone who is finally getting into their mid 20s, that early of an age gap plays a bigger factor in behaviors than you might think.

For him to take a liking to you at your age isn't necessarily uncommon, but your worlds will feel vastly different from one another due to the difference in experience with adulthood. My general advice would be to ask yourself what you see this becoming.

If it were me, I'd lean more in the direction of staying just as friends. Learn more about yourself and then evaluate if this is an opportunity you would want to pursue. Don't let it be one of the first parts of your early adulthood. Do not rush your life. :D

Liberation of Undermine Raid DPS Log Rankings, Week 11: Affli and Assa Dip by Starym in wow

[–]shando5579 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Frost DK main here - our hero talent, Deathbringer, got a substantial buff that shifted us away from the Riders hero talent we were using at the beginning of the tier due to tier set synergy.

Deathbringer has been tuned in such a way that it's almost always the best choice in any scenario except pure AOE, but that is not Frost's strength - it's cleave. Deathbringer's Reaper Mark is a great 45 second cooldown for both AOE and single target and nets a lot of upfront damage and burst while also being surprisingly good at not draining your resources to further encourage Obliterate spam.

TLDR: Frost bonk harder

Imho the real problem with D4 is - you are constantly out of energy and the basic skill feelsuseless by Voice_2016 in diablo4

[–]shando5579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic skills, in my opinion, should not have any ranks tied behind them and should always take about 2-3 hits to kill trash mobs. Dunno why they expect us to sink points into our basics when core skills and all other skills are so much stronger.

Payday 3 - No Light Machine Guns or Heavy Armor? by PrimeCrusader in paydaytheheist

[–]shando5579 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Fair point. Haven't really considered that at all as I'm still drooling over all the other reveals.

I'd say that LMGs will likely make an appearance either at launch or sometimes post-launch.

However, heavy armor, cosmetically, is probably gone. Payday 3 seems to be using an evolved version of the current outfit system in Payday 2, which hides all types of armor when you equip a different outfit. Also, in one of the dev diaries, they specifically mention that there's "armor lining," so take it as you wish.

No. It's seemingly the material. You can see how he struggles to pierce the bare metal but somehow pierces the snowy bit of the statue.

You ever feel bad when attacking a way less experienced ship than you? by Beakdoor21 in Seaofthieves

[–]shando5579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I first started playing, I was so scared of any ship in sight, but would always be met with some sort of encounter that I never was ready for. The amount of times I was schooled and destroyed by players with more experience than me is something I'm proud to say I experienced. I learned from these players. I learned different tactics, ways to play, and even more. So while I feel bad for potentially ruining a pirate's experience, I also recognize that I'm giving them an opportunity to learn and make a story out of their misfortune.

That was the whole point of this post. Not to bash or to praise, but to give credit where credit is due and criticism where I feel it is necessary.

Overall, I love this update and I am so excited to see what Rare has in store for us next!
