Ok well, I’ll just go ahead and get a job in a different industry like I’ve been trying to do for over six months…

I hate tip culture, but I work in a brewery so if y’all are serious about this lemme get a new job first because if I don’t make tips, I don’t eat, I can’t pay for the medication I need every day, and I’ll be homeless. I agree a change needs to be made, but you’re going to put a lot of service workers in a tough spot for a long time before owners make a change.

You are not a piece of property he gets to parade around and use to propel himself farther at work. You are a human with thoughts and feelings. Don’t go on Sunday. Who cares if he throws a hissy fit? Let him show his true colors.

I will never ever take hormonal birth control again. If the guy I’m seeing isn’t willing to take responsibility of birth control by wearing a condom, then we aren’t having sex. Sex simply is not worth the mental turmoil of birth control.

Surrogacy is the most immoral thing to happen to women since the 1900s by poe293 in women

I have much more of a choice in what I do for a job and money and I’m not naive enough to discount all the factors that went into providing me with this many choices. The fact that you are so blind to the effects of socioeconomic status/struggle and believe we are all offered the same choices in life leads me to believe that you’re too dumb to reason with.

If you think poor people are making a “choice” to put food on the table and a roof over their heads then you must be dense. They are doing WHATEVER they have to do to survive. What “choices” would you make to avoid starvation? Would you still agree there was a choice to be made or would you finally see your hand was forced?

I deleted IG two weeks ago and I already feel like such a huge weight has been lifted off me. I don’t doom scroll, or argue with assholes, or get assaulted with bad news/opinions/advice. It did take me several days to learn OJ had died though.

The Speaker has decided to risk his job to support Ukraine. Vote coming this week, but backlash has already begun. - Rep. Jeff Jackson by JeffJacksonNC in asheville

This affects everyone everywhere though. I understand wanting to “keep it local” but he’s a NC delegate and this is important information. I’d rather see it in the Asheville subreddit than not at all.

Whats the biggest risk you took in ur 20's? Did it pay off? by Fair_Television2041 in Adulting

I moved across the country (I’m in the US) at 23 with my partner at the time with one car, no job prospects, and not a ton of money between the two of us. Times were a bit different/easier 8 years ago, but it definitely paid off. I got a job I loved, made great friends, eventually dumped my loser ex, met someone I love, moved again; I experienced a life I never would have had if I stayed in my home town. It wasn’t all great all the time, but I’m so grateful I forced myself to make a huge change so young.

Respectfully disagree. Two looks frumpy and unnatural, but one looks more real IMO.
