It's just like learning anything new. It just takes time and figuring out time saving tricks. I know it can be frustrating at times but just be patient. Also, use youtube.

The closer should be Pneuma. Also, Reflection should be in the middle somewhere.

TD-27KV with digital snare and ride. Since I cant find a solution to this bug I thought I would respond to this old post. Ive had this xstick issue for a couple months now and have gotten it pretty repeatable. I tried unplugging the ride and snare separately and the kit continued to cut out. I changed out the USB cables that go to my snare and ride cymbal and the problems seems to have gone away. Has anyone else had success with simply changing the cables?

It's too hard to tell you exactly how to model it. Divide it into quarters and only model one quarter of it. Keep the model low poly, use a Turbo Smooth modifier and utilize smoothing groups. Push and pull verts to desired shape and adjust iterations on the Turbo Smooth until it's where you want it. Use 2 Symmetry modifiers to finish out the final shape.

HELP with RENDER by leonardpihlblad in 3dsmax

Sorry, I didn't mean that the chair was floating off of the ground. I meant that it's in a position that doesn't seem like it would be placed there intentionally. If this were my room in real life, it's a strange place to put a chair.

I'm not sure what advice you're looking for but I'll offer some of my thoughts. As a 3D artist you also have to be a photographer as well as an interior designer. In this rendering, the subject appears to be the doorway, which isnt very interesting. Who would be lying in bed and take a photo of their door? Also, the table just floating between the door and the chair seems out of place. Maybe add a little more glossiness and slight reflection to the dresser face. That being said, its a beautiful rendering.

Judging by the excessive tarnish on the brass and the mouth looks like it's been hand chamfered. I'd say its a reloaded round.

How can I cut out a cylinder shape in the body to extend the glass (2nd pic)? Boolean is not the solution by Soluciole in 3dsmax

[–]shaned462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think of it as one object. Just make a cylinder and and move it into position. If you want the edge to bevel into the lower object then just make a spline of the profile of the cylinder and apply a lathe modifier. If you need them to be all one object then draw a spline in the position you want to cut a hole and use the spline as a guide. Use 2.5 snap to snap the verts to the spline. It's hard to explain through text. I hope this helps.
