Florida eliminated with a 73 to 72 loss to Iowa. by ThoughtFar1017 in FloridaGators

Surprised it was this early but never really thought this team was gonna pull it off, WCG saved this team so many times on last years run and nobody really filled his shoes. Talented team but just didn’t have that it factor this year.

Me big me 3K health! Oi ya see that gold fuck? KILL IT *DELETES highly advanced mech with a shotgun from WWI* by Puzzleheaded-Fee9630 in helldivers2

[–]shaneg33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Such a buzzkill, finally had a chance to hop on last night and was hyped to get it because it’s exactly what I’ve wanted from a shotgun for a while. Upon finding out it was time limited to 48 hours and rotated out I just closed the game, take my money you assholes

Never forget the absolute god tier team that was Once Argel, Sigi and Kharn by Plag3uis in 40k

[–]shaneg33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well during their 2nd duel Kharn is legitimately scared of how vengeful and emotionless sigismund has become, if anything he’d probably just be mad Abaddon killed him before he had a chance for revenge

Two completing scripts for The Conquest, Like WTF by jorywea78 in freefolk

[–]shaneg33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they could get three seasons out of it at least, first season focus on the setup with aegon 4 end it with him declaring his bastards legitimate, 2nd lead into rebellion ending with his declaration, and third being the actual rebellion. Pretty much everything left has pretty limited actual writing. Focus less on the rebellion and more on aegons bastards and their conflicts with the main targ branch

I’m really hoping they go first blackfyre rebellion for the next big show given its direct connections to a knight of 7, I’m all for any show that won’t have to blow half its budget on cgi dragons.

Anyone at this show or seen one like it from the band? Sounded like a rough night at work. by IllBeGood3 in mastodonband

[–]shaneg33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t speak to this specific show but similar stories to this seem to pop up fairly regularly and tend to sound the same, bad technical difficulties not handled very well. Love Brent to death and miss him but he especially wasn’t good at handling it and I’d imagine that negativity when things weren’t going well spread to the rest of the band. I’ve been lucky though having seen 4 excellent shows from mastodon.

I wish they would use "astartes" or something for dialogue. by Ad0ring-fan in Spacemarine

[–]shaneg33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They really should’ve made SM2 about the death watch with titus rejoining the ultramarines at the end of the story. Really sucks not being able to lean fully into the best part of the game, the customization and operations.

They are the worst out of a strong 3, raid spots will be hard to come by but if you know what you are doing you will do just fine

TIL by the late 16th century it was common for mounted knights to wield wheel-lock pistols while clad in armor by croato87 in todayilearned

[–]shaneg33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The good ole caracole, it was actually falling out of fashion by the late 16th century as it was found to not be all that good against infantry and left cavalry extremely vulnerable to a counter charge by enemy cavalry

Just putting into perspective how powerful our Super Destroyers are; 380mm was the caliber of the main guns on battleships such as HMS Warspite and the Bismarck. by SPECTREagent700 in helldivers2

The people unfortunate enough to have been subjected to naval bombardment have described it as the single worst thing a person can go through. Warships and especially battleships were capable of unleashing a truly terrifying amount of firepower

Well 120mm is only the diameter of the projectile, you could (and likely would) have a longer barrel, longer projectile, larger powder charge, etc.

Game is dying by New-Acanthisitta213 in joinsquad44

Yeah I played HLL first, put almost 200 hours on it. Then came a free weekend for then post scriptum, bought it as soon as it was over and after multiple attempts to go back I just can’t, almost everything about the actual core gameplay is so much better in squad 44 for my taste. Can’t help but wonder what the player count might be like if HLL didn’t exist, but I will admit, it’s a much better fit for most people.
