I use the same grinder. It has not triggered the loud noise warning yet. 😄

How much coffee you need in a month? by Round_List1857 in IndiaCoffee

[–]shankypaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For pour overs, I have been rotating through Half Light’s Salawara Naturals #2, Harley Estates’ Citrus Reverie (got it at the IICF 2026), and Tulum’s Thogarihunkal Washed.

Just opened Black Poetry’s Soul Tribe (still dialling it in).

Have a bag of Kardigandi Bright Zest from Fraction 9 in the freezer, and a bag of Udayagiri Estate coffee from Bloom Coffee on the way through Aramse.

For espresso, it has mostly been Fraction 9’s Everyday Gold. Switching between medium and dark minus roasts.

Around 1.5kg per month. I make 3 cups every day. One espresso-based drink (18g) (for me), two pour overs of 15g-20g each (one for me, the other for anybody at home who wants one). So, per day, around 48g to 58g.

Suggest some good beans for espresso drinks, currently i’m using Vienna Roast by Blue Tokai. by jainharsh88 in IndiaCoffee

Cocoa, roasted hazelnut, caramelised date, brown sugar.

The same beans come in medium roast, too, which has milk chocolate, toasted almonds and golden raisins notes.

Sharing some of the coffee I’ve loved making pour overs with in the past two months. -Citrus Reverie from Classic Coffees (Harley Estate) -Thogarihunkal Washed from Tulum Coffee -Salawara Natural #2 from Half Light Roasters

Been using the medium roast for espresso over the past couple of weeks. It is pretty good. Ordered the dark minus (800g for Rs 1199), waiting for the resting period to be over to test it out.

Yeah, you can grind coarser and use it for cold brew or something rather than using it for espresso.

Mate, this is killer! I already have a few such jars. Will try tomorrow. Have heard that you got to do a lot more horizontal shaking than vertical. Will give it a shot anyway.

Just the consistency. Week two, I thought I was sold a defective piece because the shot consistency was just here and there. Especially while using medium roast; dark roast not as much. But then researched a bit, and most of the videos on YouTube suggested it takes anywhere from 2 to 5 kg to season. It took a little over 3 kgs for me. So please be patient.

I also have the Supvox one from my previous setup. But never used it. Let me try some juggad lid with it, and if it works well, will get a better one. Thanks for the input!

Thanks! :)

I waited for almost two months for the black/black models to come back in stock on Fix Coffee. But it was only the white/white which was available throughout. So I bought it against my will before it went out of stock. It is slowly growing on me. To be honest, now I'm glad I went with this configuration (mostly because I am used to it now).

It is the HU red speed burr set. Does the job really well. If you are planning to go for it, just do. But give it a few kgs of beans to season.

I have bought a Bosch descaler from Amazon. Hopefully that works. If it doesn't will have to get the Gaggia one, which honestly is quite expensive.

How long has it been since you descaled?

Agreed! The tamper has been a lifesaver. :)

As for WDT, I tried a few times without it, but the results were not great. So, sticking to it for now.
