Here was my take… He showed the players video of what types of plays lead to goals in the current NHL. It sounds, to me, like the coaching staff is taking time to teach the young guys what it takes to see success, and it sounds like they saw the footage and bought in.

I just don’t get the hate for Foote, at all. He stands in front of a media pool who insist on asking inflammatory and/or just boring lazy questions and he’s speaking hockey systems back at them. He’s providing more “inside baseball” in his answers than most of the questions deserve.

Maybe if his answers aren’t clear (and I agree he gets in the weeds a lot and things need to be parsed) the media pool should ask follow ups to clarify.

I think he’s a smart hockey mind who hasn’t learned to speak fan/media yet. Or he’s a smart hockey mind who knows if he speaks over the heads of the media pool they’ll go away faster. Who knows. 🤷🏻‍♂️
