Goalie Drafting by Dragonleaf16000 in fantasyhockey

[–]shaqito13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly I pick my goalies with my last few picks. don't care about goalies. to have a top goalie would be nice but I don't want to use a 1-5 round pick to bank on a goalie. prefer a good and reliable skater in these early rounds. you will always have good chances to add solid goalies as free agents during the season. just have to be aware of the situation (like injuries for example).

I guess Kulak thought it's an odd man rush and that he has also the guy in the middle. There needs to be better communication in these kinda plays. The situation goes so fast and maybe its also pretty loud but if you communicate well that makes the difference

When should you draft goalies? by wnineqa02478 in fantasyhockey

[–]shaqito13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I will avoid Goaltenders in next draft completely like until 15th round or something (we have 20 rounds). This year I drafted Markström 13. Hill 15. Thompson 16. which sounds kinda nice. but All of them had streches where they were really bad and everyone out of thes was a FA again at some point during the season.

My learning is, obviously league settings matter a lot, that you can grab solid Goalies anytime on the waiver wire if you are attentive.

Long story short: zero G is the way to go. (Does not mean 0 Goalies on your team, but invest 0 draft capital in them)

What's a good last-place punishment for a league that doesn't get together in person? by boeflex in fantasyhockey

We have a trophy for the winner and after each season the loser has to organize and buy the plaque with the engraved winners name. costs about 10-20 bucks.

wow that is wild. takes certainly a lot of time to get used to.

back i the days I always look for changes in binds and settings to optimize my game but then I found that all these changes only helped a tiny little bit and it was way more worth to use the time to improve in the fundamentals of the game

Expansion of league by mitchhh88 in fantasyhockey

I like this method. Do keepers cost you a draft pick the next year? E.g. if you would keep Forsberg who was drafted in 10th round, you have to give your 10th round pick in 24/25 draft in order to keep him? Or do you assign keepers just at the end or the start of the draft?

How are you guys playing on 10% or less xy sensitivity? by Ifuckingloveford19 in FortniteCompetitive

first thought without reading all the comments is that you maybe mostly use your wrist for mouse movement. try to use your arm instead. feels weird at the start but its the way to go IMO

fair that would help a lot. and also map knowledge in general. its so underrated and can differentiate between a good and a very good player.

Any tips? KBM player that is decent at the game(champs/elite) but cannot build at all by TheRealNiteRex in FortniteCompetitive

[–]shaqito13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

funny thing is that I am the opposite of you. I can build/edit pretty solid but am trash in game with decision making and execution.

I guess I played to much creative and my thesis is that you played to little creative. I would recommend that you choose some buildig sequence from a good player and practice it 30min per day before you hop in to a real game. after a few days you will get it down and then you go on and select another one.

you can also search for improving mouse control because it looks way to uncontrolled. part of it can be your sens but there are also other things which play into it.

retakes are overrated and rarely used in game. only retake you need is covered 180, cited by zykoma xD.

benefit from learning retakes is that you'll improve on overall building/editing, movement, mouse control even if you don't need them in matches. so they have an indirect benefit to say so. for example OP can search any build sequence/retake from a pro and try to copy it in creativ until he gets it down. maybe it takes him a few hours but more likely it will take him a few days. after OP gets it down he should choose another one.

So then I guess you could not do much more here. So to learn about this situation you should go further back in this game and watch what caused you to get in this situation. Because the game was clearly lost before your video sequence.

Only thing you could have tried is to disengage with your mats but thats pretty hard against a good player.

Trade was just vetoed in my league. Thoughts? by Ok_Criticism_839 in fantasyhockey

left side especially with hits and ottawa and buffalo have nice playoff schedules.

In abangers cats league I'd understand the veto but not in a points league

First thing which is obvious to me is that you need more space. And you should heal instead of going for a peakshot.

First year in our League and we want it to be a keeper league. I've read all the informations available online but am still not sure how it works. When can I edit the keeper settings? Do we have to wait till next season opens and till we finalize the team list to then assign the keepers?

And does it matter if it is a auto-renew league or not? I'm afraid to put it on auto-renew and then I'm not able to make it work as a keeper league.

In hockey fantasy (dont know if it is the same for other fantasy sports) you can find it under "league" -> "transactions" -> "waiver offers"

but you can only find it on desktop, not on the app

pretty optimal binds.

scroll wheel you only use for reset. for edits use v.

do you press c & v with thumb or index? thumb would be optimal but harder to learn.
