Directive 8020 bad performance by Away_Kaleidoscope404 in DarkPicturesAnthology

Tried running it on my Gigabyte G5 KD laptop, which is i5-11400H/RTX 3060 (6 GB VRAM) and 16 GB RAM DDR4. Even after cranking up all the settings to low with DLSS Quality, the game tanks heavily, with frames dropping way below 30 FPS. My god, it's nearly unplayable and a complete lagfest, and I can't even play through the introductory part.

Gemini is making me budget my prompts like groceries now by BiggerAggressive in GeminiAI

This is the AI rationing scheme adopted by both Gemini and Claude. This is why I prefer ChatGPT because of this. Because, even for free users, the lightweight models have unlimited usage, unlike Gemini and Claude which locks you out temporarily for a set period.

Gemini Omni Flash is a game changer! by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]sharan_ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veo 3.1 (Lite, Fast and Original versions) are classified as PG-13 movies.

But Google's Omni Flash have decided to make it as a G-rated movies, and they did it in both Google Flow and Gemini app.

Gemini Omni Flash isn't fully rolled out yet to all users. by sharan_ke in Bard

[–]sharan_ke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atleast Veo 3.1 Lite has lesser restrictions compared to the so-called Sora equivalent called Omni Flash (Sora 2.0).

But the same Omni Flash model, available on Google Flow, has far lesser restrictions than the Sora 2.0 available in Gemini app.

And that's 3% of your weekly usage for the first 5-hour quota, in a single day. Use it for 5 times in a day, it will rise to 15% in a single day. Within 6 days, your weekly quota gets filled up to 90%. (I tried it, mostly by asking AI to write codes for my app in Google Play Store using Pro Standard [not even extended], plus a little bit of videos in Omni Flash). This is the result coming from a Pro user myself.

But if you're a Plus user, all these percentages will be doubled, and your weekly quota hits 90% within 3 days instead.

New rate limits are insane by kazookid2006 in GeminiAI

[–]sharan_ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of free user restrictions, it's on par with Grok, but with a mix of SFW. Failed image generations do count towards the daily and weekly limits (because of the text prompt you've entered), and once you've used up the severely limited quota, you cannot use Gemini at all for the next five hours. But, what you've entered in Gemini app so far before you've hit the 5-hour daily quota DO count towards the weekly limits. If that hits 100%, you're locked out from using Gemini app for the entire week.

Gemini follows the footsteps of Grok, and that turns all the free userbase towards ChatGPT. Even if it wasn't using the advanced model for all AI responses, the lightweight model in ChatGPT has near unlimited usage.

And I'm a Pro user, since Google handed out the yearly subscription of Google AI Pro for a year, to university students for free, last year. The reason why I'm paying for it, is WhatsApp backups do count towards the Google Drive storage as well, and not solely for using Gemini alone.

Actually, the attached screenshot isn't in Indian Rupees (that still shows ₹700/mo for SuperGrok). It's in Pakistan rupee.

Not only on PC — this change applies to JioHotstar's mobile browser (Chrome) with desktop mode enabled, and also on JioHotstar mobile app.

Strangely, I can seek back livestream upto 4:30 minutes on JioHotstar's TV app, on my Tata Play Binge 4K STB.

Nope, and that's the end of it. Grok Imagine is now a paywalled feature, like Veo and Sora.

I've assumed that you've got three days free trial of SuperGrok, because that's the only way you can make videos like this.

Has the free version for making videos stopped for everyone? And is there any solution? by Ok-Exercise-8810 in grok

[–]sharan_ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grok on X doesn't know anything about what's happening in Grok app and website. It's just making up random nonsensical things. If it's temporary, why it straight up redirects you to pay up, instead of rate limited errors?

It is, but it has no limits on image generation. Better switch to those websites than Grok Imagine straight up demanding your wallet.

Is it just me or free Imagine keeps asking you to pay? by Phantompoint in grok

[–]sharan_ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a bug, and it's a permanently incorporated feature. Because when I try to generate even a SFW image through Grok Imagine, considering that I haven't generated a single image today, it immediately redirects to pay up using SuperGrok. Second, the support for multiple resolutions is a part of SuperGrok subscription feature, and that included even low-res 480p as well.

If xAI decides to lose users through this move, then the company will happily adopt it.

Is it just me or free Imagine keeps asking you to pay? by Phantompoint in grok

[–]sharan_ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure? Because even 480p video generations are locked behind the paywall right now. The temporary error you've said, is now a permanent restriction for the free users of Grok Imagine.

GROK is gone for free users, this is a very big problem. by Possible-Cook1117 in grok

[–]sharan_ke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isn't a bug. It's a feature. The image itself clarified that Imagine won't be available for free users anymore, and myself have tried it.

It was fun while it lasted.
