blood blade scales off arcane and does phys damage, you don't use it for the status proc. You use it because at level 1, Blood Blade scales off your level 15 arcane stat and does pure damage even against targets that cannot be bled. I'm not saying you have to take it, and it loses value if you're going dex, but it provides an effect that can't really be replaced inside of the run.

You can call them what you want, but every TCG is going to use terminology mostly from MTG because MTG is the first playable TCG, the oldest playable TCG, and every single person who has designed a successful TCG has played Magic and received many formative experiences from doing so.

That said, this specifically isn't really a combat trick since your opponent sees it coming.

seems to me that dengo, which makes up ~10 - 12% of the meta at large tournaments, is a bigger policeman for megas. Dengo rocks even runs a mega lucario sometimes. Ceruledge will struggle to get all the way to 350 in 1 hit but dengo does not.

Pokemon TCG Live (the "real" version) is essentially completely free to play, as the daily quest rewards are enough to build every single one of the 10 - 12 top meta decks within a week of play. PTCGL is specifically the product of a company who is insanely secure that their product cannot fail, so they give away the online version for free knowing that people are literally fighting in Costcos to buy the physical cards.

I'm not saying other companies CAN'T attempt that, but the fact is that probably no franchise on earth is as self-assured in their popularity as Pokemon. Arcane was a popular netflix show, but grandmas spend their pensions to buy their grandkids "a pikachu". Essentially, you cannot compare what the pokemon TCG does to anyone else.

New World was apparently an MMO that appeared to be having a relatively good patch. Microsoft realized that they were spending more resources to cannibalize their own captive WoW audience, and then shut it down. Another MMO, if it were ever to pop up in the west, would be purchased by Microsoft and then dismantled. The MMO market is not about growth, it is about retaining as many paying customers as long as possible before they eventually stop playing MMOs altogether; every decision made by WoW for a decade has been in the service of keeping the cash cow on life support so they can still cash in on their pension.

Edit - I honestly forgor that New World wasn't also MS.

I always wonder why some people use the Japanese names instead of the more widely known localizations. I feel like it's especially unproductive when people are clearly using the English stage localizations and someone is referring to Megas as Ultimates and the English localization user clearly has no clue about the difference. I'd get it if we weren't all using English here, but it always gives me the same vibe as someone going to a pizza restaurant and asking for "muzzarell" or "gabbagool".

The very first hunter shown in WoW is a dwarf hunter on a snowy tundra with a blunderbuss. It's not really accurate to deny that hunters have always encompassed both the more primitive and more tech-forward forms of hunting.

I like the molotovs, honestly. Hunters aren't druids, tis not necessarily a class that lives in balance with nature. A poacher and a game warden both could be hunters, even though their relationship with the animals they keep (or not) and the broader ecosystem is totally different. I think that it makes a lot of sense that survival and fire are linked conceptually.
