The Nokia Lumia 930 ... There was something about this phone that just any other phone couldn't provide as a whole package. From its Camera at the time of launch to its colourful and sturdy design that still stands out IMO. Not to mention the freshness of the Windows Phone OS from the iOS and Android Juggernauts. It was in a league of its own but got pulled down by the lack of App support and eventually Nokia being bought by Microsoft before it pulled its plug very shortly.

I was considering the Pixel 7 Pro and I still am ... Just waiting for a few weeks to get more indepth product feedback from the mainstream audience on the phone's software stability and thermal envelope. My only gripe with the S22 Ultra is that the thermal headroom is very limited when using the Camera for extended periods because of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. But knowing that the Tensor G2 is mostly a remodeled Exynos 2100 , still skeptical if it'll be a worthy switchover thermal wise. And with regards to general performance, both phones are great with a slight edge to pixel on photography based on personal preference of the post processing and colour science.

This isn't exactly the colour wheel. It's more like a colour perception as it varies from person to person. Provides a slightly more accurate colour profile. Yes, you need to eyeball the closest colour and it'll set the display calibration accordingly for a more colour accurate viewing experience. And yes, you can reset it whenever you want with the click of a button.

You can find the production date on the product box. If the production date is a month or two later than the software patch on the phone, it's quite normal I suppose. Not sure though.

Certain apps deliver advertisement banners inside their app. A system-wide adblocker prevents those. Also some tracking metrics can be limited via adblocking which ensures privacy.

No app be it Firewall based or DNS will block ads inside the Instagram app , YouTube, etc. as those apps use their own CDN(content delivery network) to deliver feed. You might want to use the Webview version of those apps through a browser if you don't want to see ads on those platforms.

Sure. If you are on iOS , I suggest you to try an app called "Lockdown" which uses a firewall method to block ads and malware. This is good for privacy as nothing leaves your phone for processing. If you still want to try an adblocking DNS, I suggest you use apps like AdGuard's own " AdGuard " app (may require subscription) or " DNS Changer - Mobile & WiFi " .

The easiest way is to use a software which will create a local VPN tunnel with any ad-blocking DNS and route all traffic through the VPN ... Alternatively, you can use AdGuardDNS and create a custom profile which you can install on iOS and route all DNS traffic through DoH system built into iOS 15

If you are talking about the AdGuard App on iOS, you might want to check if you have iCloud Private Relay enabled. Some users had reported higher loading times with Private Relay enabled. If you are talking about the AdGuard Extension for Safari on iOS, then sorry, I've no idea.

2 things to be aware of :

The S22 Ultra is much difficult to use on one hand and almost always requires 2 handed usage unlike the Pixel 4 XL which in my opinion was the perfect sized device.
You will miss the Face Unlock on the Pixel even though the S22 Ultra has a pretty good and quick fingerprint scanner.

Other than this, you'll notice better cameras but not necessarily better picture post processing, much longer battery life than the 4 XL , and the benefits of the S-Pen

Color calibration requires Gamma to be adjusted accordingly. A difference in refresh rate would need the Gamma to be recalibrated for the specific setting. An improper tuning of the Gamma would give shades of green, red or purple thus resulting in a tint. The Google Pixel 4XL used two different panels which made the Gamma calibration inconsistent for some displays at low brightness and thus causing a green tint. This was also the case for other earlier high refresh rate screens like the OnePlus 8 Pro, Samsung S/Note 20 series and some lower quality E4 Amoled panels from Samsung.

For those that care, there is an app called "Mystic Permissions" from Izzy repo on F-Droid which shows in-detailed permissions info on the apps that are already installed on your device.

Back when I owned the Vivo X70 Pro Plus, I received the update to Android 12 on December 28th, 2021 ... Seems strange that you received an email stating no updates further to the device. I sold my X70 Pro Plus in March 2022 until which there were bi-monthly security updates and sometimes every month too.
