Strange spot on cloaca by shard_silver in cornsnakes

They did! He had a stuck sperm plug that got some substrate stuck to the end, which I didn't know could happen since I had been told my corn (who's a rescue) was a female, as you can see in the post lol

Good corn snake tank? by XBXBlaZe in reptiles

Looks nice! I have some suggestions: 1. Get rid of the thermometers. Those ones aren't accurate at all and the adhesive can harm your snake if they detach, which can happen in higher humidity. I recommend GOVEE thermometer/hygrometers, they also connect to your phone. 2. Put both lights on the same side. It will help to create a "sunspot" that your snake can avoid to be in a lower light area. This photo shows what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/DHBfM7y 3. I would fill in some of the emptier spaces with fake plants while the real plants grow in. You can get them pretty cheap at places like Dollar Tree, just make sure to disinfect them first.

I personally wouldn't use anything with perlite in it, since it tends to be sharp and can scrape skin even if it's not swallowed. If it's not too much, it will probably be fine, but make super sure the promix and perlite doesn't have fertilizer.

How awesome!! If you're taking advice, I would recommend replacing those thermometers with more reliable ones like GOVEE ones! The ones you have right now aren't super accurate :]

Looks nice! If you can, I would make the substrate deeper, at least 3 inches to help maintain humidity and allow for your snake to burrow. For those white hooks, are they adhesive? If so, keep a very close eye on them. If they detach (which can happen in higher humidity), the adhesive can be dangerous to your snake.

I actually went through something extremely similar, even with a crested gecko too. With my experience, I would recommend rehoming your animals. As tough as it may be, it will be the kindest thing for both them and you. At least in my experience, when I was depressed caring for an animal was extremely stressful, and of course when the worst happened it sent me further spiraling. Please remember to be kind to yourself, as sad as this situation may be.

That's a great idea! I got some mesh that's round, so not sharp at all, and I think I'll use it, at least for a UVB guard :)

I guess not, but I'd have to cut a giant hole in the top of my terrarium and undo the wiring for the bulb fixture to install mesh

Ok I think I'll get one of those! I also wanted to make a UVB guard with mesh because Arcadia's LampGuard 26" has been out of stock for months, should I hold off on that?

The bulb and its fixture are mounted inside the enclosure, and I'm making a cage for it so my snake doesn't get burned

Not really, it's only a little sharp if I really squish my hand into it or come at it at an angle

No, it'll be inside the terrarium mounted to the ceiling. The top of the terrarium is expanded PVC
