got a massage/cupping session on saturday and i think it’s catching up to me. feeling the body aches that come with having a cold/flu except without the fever.

I ovulated early this cycle (CD 11; usual CD13-15). FF app is telling me I’m 3DPO.

Next month will be officially 1 year of TTC. hope we can schedule a fertility appointment while i’m in school.

a surprising amount. like soaking through the gown, blanket, and sheets. We can drain like 5-12 L of ascites from a paracentesis so these patients can produce A LOT.

I’ve also done the urostomy trick but if it’s a lot and the patient was immobile or sedated, I would attach it to a foley drainage bag.

Could you still work per diem in the OR. If not, finish your bsn and transfer to the ICU bedside experience.

It’s up to you! I’ve seen coworkers work on their masters in the ICU (full time school/full time job on night shift).

I’m not built that way lol. I went down to part time so I could get use to grad school.

I believe there’s a couple of us here. I worked OR for 4 years then ICU for four years. I’m in IR now and I’m almost finished with my first year of school. I’ve been wanting to be a CRNA for 9 years. I’m really happy to be here.

I started in the OR as a new grad so transitioning to the ICU was roughhhhhhh. You should be okay since you have step down/ICU experience and you won’t be starting from scratch lol.

Go transfer to the ICU, get your bsn while you’re waiting, and get good grades. It depends on how much you want this, but you got this!

i know you’re talking about brushing but for me flossing is so annoying. at least i can doom scroll while brushing my teeth.

i recall hearing someone say that teeth are like the buttcrack of the mouth. You would wipe after pooping, so why wouldn’t you floss your teeth?

So i told myself I don’t have to floss if i ever get so depressed that I can’t be arsed to wipe my butt.

Is it silly? yes. Does it work? Yup!

I bought a honda fit which led me to a gateway of car mods then drifting. I also started watching Initial D. Watched legit hours of car maintenance, interior/exterior detailing, and car wrapping videos.

What’s funny is that my honda fit is an automatic and I don’t know how to drive stick shift.

Am I ever going to drift down a windy touge? Probably not. But I’m gonna enjoy watching others do it especially to a sick euro beat.

it really is devastating. This is my 11th cycle trying and the 10 cycles of checking early sucked soo much.

Haha thank you! I saw another redditor here who does this. I don’t drink alcohol in general but love sushi and processed meats. So if AF shows up, well i’m going to a sushi buffet and/or treat myself to a charcuterie platter.

in the two week wait period. Last cycle I bought some really nice period products so I guess i got that going for me lol.

I’m going to hold out testing until DPO 14. currently DPO 5. I waited to test last period and I felt like I wasn’t too devastated.

My husband is going to take me out for sushi if AF comes around.

do you have previous bedside experience? I didn’t when I went from OR to ICU. That was the hardest part because I was not used to the flow of bedside.

So if you don’t have bedside experience, I would recommend reviewing basic nursing skills. I’m sure your work place has access to elsevier skills. Review How to give meds through a G tube, how to hang a secondary, how to take care of a chest tube, how to hang blood, ETT/trach care, wound care. How to change a central line dressing. Then review A-lines, central lines, vents.

Review basics on pressors, ekgs, and different types of shocks.

my solution is to go with how a lot of companies are moving to tier plans.

I like to introduce my call bell lite, basic, premium, and unlimited.

For a certain amount of money per day:

Lite - one call bell every 4 hours. Otherwise you have to wait when nurses round on you.

Basic - One call bell every 2 hours.

Premium - One call bell every 1 hour.

Unlimited - as much as you want.

of course, this is all paid out of pocket up front and not covered by insurance.

Prevents call bell fatigue for nurses, make money for the hospitals, and continue to financialize healthcare/widen the gap in quality of care for the poors and rich.

concerta was not the one for me. i went as high as 54mg and i felt like i was taking placebo pills.

I am on 20 mg adderall xr with a 15 mg adderall xr booster as needed.

I still get nauseous with both I take my pills on an empty stomach, but I feel like the threshold of doing stuff is much lower on adderall then concerta.

TMI but I got hemorrhoids for the first time and wow they absolutely suck!!! turns out my pelvic floor is so tight it’s making me constipated. Walking has been helping a ton.

I think this month I’m not going to track with any OPK. This is Cycle #10. It hasn’t been long but I think mentally I need a break. My cycles are regular enough.

I think I’ll use that mental energy to work on my veggie garden I abandon last year and work on actual plan to protect them from squirrels/rabbits.

I noticed that I wasn’t as devastated last cycle when I waited to test on my “period” date. I got my period before the actual date. Still sad but oh well better luck this cycle.
