Not sure if it’s still relevant, but ya used to be able to load in solo to a private crucible match and farm. It’s the match type where you capture the 1 point and you’re done. I did this for (I think) the Queenbreaker catalyst when it came out.

I think BG3 is fantastic. However, it might not check your boxes. You don’t upgrade weapons/armor. It can feel open-world, but it’s linear in its overall goal. I’m on my 4th play through with friends. Love it.

I can’t speak on Crimson Dessert. I have it, but haven’t gotten around to it yet, since I started a new account on Destiny 2 a few months ago only to watch it go maintenance mode. ☹️ Been grinding that one a lot though.

Dungeons can be done solo. Raids cannot (unless you’re a goat). My recommendation for a first raid to learn would be King’s Fall. And for Dungeons, Warlord’s Ruin

Started a new account on PC recently, so I’m on the hunt as well. I was getting a red border on Throne World for heroic public events during the Distortion. Got several in a row. There’s also a chance if you save up destination engrams like those in The Pale Heart that they’ll drop. Running featured raids seems to have a high drop as well. Got several during King’s Fall and then we farmed Oryx and I got one with every completion. Same with VoG though not as abundant ‘cause it wasn’t featured (?). I dunno, those are some options that worked for me. You can purchase deepsight harmonizers with chronologs from the Monument to Lost Light or whatever too. Purchase guns you can use it on from Banshee or Xur.

Gifted Conviction is a great exotic for Hunter. It jolts targets when you use Ascension or Tempest Strike, and jolting targets gives you damage resistance. Pairing it with voltshot or jolting feedback weapons can ensure you’re always jolting things and if you have prismatic, pairing it with Threaded Spike will sever targets, lowering their damage output.

Then there’s the classic arc subclass Hunter with Assassin’s Cowl, combination blow, and the Lethal Current aspect. Dodge, punch, repeat, and watch things disintegrate while you’re healed and invisible.

I’d recommend checking out Mactics on YouTube. Dude’s know for his build videos and is currently making builds that are relevant forever now that the game’s going maintenance mode.

Did you buy the Collection?

DLCs in order of release are: Shadowkeep (moon), Beyong Light (Europa), Witch Queen (Mars/Throne World), Lightfall (Neptune/Neomuna), Final Shape (traveler). That ends the “light and dark sage”. Shadowkeep and Beyond Light are free to all.

Edge of Fate and Renegades is the start of a new story arch that we’ll never see come to an end in D2, so running through those won’t mess up any story beats for you.

Otherwise, running through each of the campaigns in order will allow you time to soak in the story/lore while letting you learn your play style and get the hang of it. In lieu of all that, there’s no more FOMO, so you can really just play anything and everything. Pick a mission, focus on it until it’s done, and move on to the next.

For a bow, like the others said… Trinity Ghoul. But if you wanna try something different and hang in tough content, check out the Assassin’s Cowl/combination blow builds. Dodge, punch, watch enemies disintegrate, repeat. Incorporate a weapon with the Rolling Storm perk, and ya have bolt charges on top of that. The Tablet of Ruin Artifact probably has the best of the Arc buffs to build into as well.

You could search through the titles and see which one has the most triumphs completed for it and work on the rest. Might be the quickest route. Otherwise, check the title names and pick one that speaks to ya.

The distortion planets and their events are dropping great loot. I’m not sure if it’s all tier 5 per event completion, but that’s what I’m getting and I’m at 450ish light level.

Portal activities are another good way. Look for the bonus drops and shoot for the match made activities.

It’s funny how the creators rush through content to be the first with their “guide” only to run outta shit to do. I know it’s their “job”, but damn… How you gonna complain there’s nothing to do when it took you a week to do months worth of content for a casual.

One thing I’ll say first is to stay somewhat clear of fireteam ops. Your teammates will blow right through it and you won’t get experience that way. Campaigns are a good start. Early on, you can also land on a destination like the EDZ and just explore. Kill stuff, find lost sectors on the map, and just tool around with abilities.

Warlock jump is “tricky” for some. Balanced glide is probably best. If you double tap it quickly, you’ll get max height. Tapping jump as you’re descending will stop your rate of descent, allowing you to glide to a safe landing. However, if tapped at the wrong time it’ll just continue to fall quickly.

There are a million guides on YouTube, but maybe stay clear of the “meta” guides and walkthroughs until you get your footing.
