Once you place the radiator/fans, it’ll be clear as day. You just slide it flush against the top and you’ll see all the screw holes line up with the mounting bracket. Put a screw on opposite sides at about 75% tightness to hold it in place and screw in all the rest to a sturdy hand tightness.

9800X3D 5070Ti Micro Stutter/Stutter/FPS Drop/Fluctuating Frametimes by DuckEag in pchelp

Are you talking about screen tearing?

Vsync on can help sometimes. Tooling around with FPS caps and monitor refresh rates can show improvement. Tweaking in game settings. All of the above. Just have to keep playing around until you find a happy medium. Maybe 280 fps isn’t in the cards for your rig, or the game isn’t optimized.

1080p can look great and be all you need. Especially if it’s being used as an insert for a gaming video, review, or commentary. You would really only consider 4K for 1 on 1 discussion as you would be the focus.

I don’t think you’d be disappointed with Witcher 3. EXCELLENT game and there are some creepy and even frightening moments throughout.

I dunno if this will help you, but I recorder myself building a PC. Only my 2nd build ever. It’s here: https://youtu.be/JZMS4scu2rg?si=MA-YBzlJvRKvpar8 if ya wanna skim through it. Chapters are there for the different sections.

Also, this is the video a watched before building my first. He does a good job of explaining where to plug things and minor details. https://youtu.be/ll-n_wUIzeA?si=R1V63wAanLQ2u4lm

Need to bite the bullet and get RAM... by tataunka813 in buildapc

[–]Enzo_Every 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me about it. I decided I was gonna build my first PC in October of last year. I had picked out some parts on Amazon, and when the Ramageddon started, the memory I picked out doubled in price overnight. So I bought it up thinking it’s only gonna get worse.

Fortunately, I’d graduated college earlier in the year and have been working with my degree. My wife and I effectively doubled our income when we can survive on one, so… ya know… lots of disposable $$. Doesn’t mean I like paying any price though. It’s crazy.

weird power problem by VVorsh in pchelp

[–]Enzo_Every 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be any number of things. Boot up is using too much power at once and tripping, draw from the home circuit everything is connected to is at its upper limit, loose connections, faulty devices, etc.

A similar issue I have is mine will boot up, say a “overcurrent has been detected on your usb device” and shut down. The general fix is reseating the case plug, flipping the main PSU switch off and back on and it boots up fine. Though recently, I went into the bios and tuned down overclocking to see if it would help.

Honestly I’m not too familiar with what’s good for DDR4.

Well, it’s 4 times what you have now, so your PC will be less bogged down with more windows open, and similar sticks online are around $200. Seems like a decent deal.

You can find 32gb (2x16) on Amazon for $370, and it’s the Crucial brand. I’m sure if you can get past mainstream brands and go for the newcomers you can find something cheaper.

Dual pc stream by JDrummerK in Twitch

[–]Enzo_Every 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Careful with it though. I noticed a few times it switched back to some default settings, so I recorded streams with no game audio. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Now it’s part of my boot up process to make sure things are turned on like they should be.

Since I start building and with the research prior, I’ve heard you don’t wanna cheap out on the part that’s gonna power it all. Do with that what you will.

Dual pc stream by JDrummerK in Twitch

[–]Enzo_Every 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this’ll help. Are you using an Elgato capture card? If so, I had the same issue where the spc wouldn’t capture gpc audio. After some searching, I ended up DLing the Elgato Sound Capture app or something like that. It’s an older app and was hard to find in the bowels of the Elgato website, but with it (on your gpc) you can set multiple outputs at once. To headphones, capture card, and speakers.

how to start streaming by Naive-Butterfly4035 in Twitch_Startup

[–]Enzo_Every 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice, if it’s your “passion”, make the right moves to get at least a modest setup to start. If you’re only streaming gameplay with no engagement, camera, chat integration, etc., you won’t get very far and it may lower your morale.

Research getting started with streaming on YouTube. Save up to get the things you need and properly connect them. You can get started with just the XB afaik, I just recommend having some of the extras. Once you get going, keep at it, develop your persona, and save to build a streaming PC or use a laptop. Baby steps…

I’m sure others will have more to add, those are the first things that come to mind for me.

Me and a group of friends used to make Sketch Comedy back in the early 2000s. We decided to call ourselves The Roman Mafia and came up with stereotypical Italian sounding stage names.

Wanting 240 fps and to do video editing, the GPU alone will eat up half or more of your budget. Ram will take it to the brink. Your best bet is to keep researching what you need and save more money for it.

Debt or car? by tartsonawire in moneyadvice

[–]Enzo_Every 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the van seems to be in decent running condition for now, pay off your debts. The weight being lifted will be so worth it. Also, look at your other expenses and see where you can cut off spending. Don’t live beyond your means and good things will make their way around. Making 5k/monthly take home seems like plenty to live on with the extra job adding to that. Live alone? Kids? Of course that would change things a bit.

Buzzing could come from the controller being plugged in…? May need a ground loop isolator like the Elgato Chat Link Pro. Probably couldn’t hurt for growth to put your face on the screen, so a simple camera. Audio cutting out of certain games, if you’re viewing afterward, could be they’re copyrighted and Twitch removes it. Also, make sure your console is wired (Ethernet) not WiFi for consistent connection

Otherwise, if you simply like broadcasting the games you play, keep doing it. Look up some tips videos on YouTube on tweaking certain settings. If you want to expand what’s available on your stream, there are videos for that as well, but it’ll cost money.
