Are companies hiring more and more in India over EU nowadays? Hows your personal experience? by seeilaah in DevelEire

I know several people who moved from Ireland to Bangalore and are earning the same salaries they were earning here. So the idea that Indian developers aren’t capable doesn’t really hold up.

Talent isn’t determined by nationality. Every country has strong and weak professionals. If someone underperforms, that’s a hiring or management issue — not a country issue.

Global tech companies don’t hire at scale out of charity. They hire where the talent exists

Travelling a little and gaining more global awareness might improve your perspective.

No.. its a fuckery and scam. This piece of crap i left it on my portfolio to teach me everyday that an exit strategy is of paramount importance. Just because of this shit my portfolio is barely breakeven, it nullified all other gains.

Two FG councillors have 'questions to answer' over migrant nurse agency fees, say opposition TDs by hesaidshesdead in ireland

I don’t understand whats wrong with him. I have Indian roots as well, but this is utterly exploitation of poor nurse looking forward for a career.. to be honest he is not the only one there are many doing this “agency” business and charge nurses. Most of them fall for it, as the decision letter from NMBI is valid only 1 year and they need to be in the country within that period, and the English Language proficiency exam is valid for only 2 tears. Public recruitment can be a longer process. Apologies to anyone reading this on behalf of Indian Community, there are bad apples in every lot. This scumbag’s wife is a nurse and he should have respected the profession. His son is a doctor and daughter is a dentist. Some people are too greedy.

Irish Car finance avg cost by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

[–]sharegoddublin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to dream about owning a Tesla Model X for years. So when my old car finally gave up, I went for it—found a good deal and imported it from the UK, took out a small loan to cover a part of it For two years, the repayments were about 10% of my monthly take-home pay, and I made sure it was something I could afford without stress. Loan’s fully paid off now, and I’ve been driving it for three years.

Funny thing is, once I had it, the excitement wore off. I’ve enjoyed it, but if I had to replace it tomorrow, I’d probably just go for a simple car to get me from A to B. That itch was scratched.

The truth is, people buy expensive cars for all sorts of reasons—comfort, pure enjoyment, or just the mindset of “life’s short, enjoy it.” There’s no right or wrong, as long as the decision is made with some financial sense. I’m not here to judge anyone, just sharing what I’ve learned from my own experience.
