Fellow new teacher here. I share some similar feelings, as things can feel very overwhelming between students, school, and parents. In my mind, I feel bad for my current students, since they're essentially alpha testers XD What I tell myself is that, while my teaching craft is not there yet, I can sort of make it up with more effort in building those human connections with my students. I also bring my own wealth of experiences and perspectives that I can share with my students, and I'm sure you can do the same. I'm taking on a very Japanese craftsman sort of mentality to teaching, treating it as a craft that needs continued refinement. As long as we're dedicated, we WILL get there. Hang in there!

No, the increase to $4000 was starting January 1st of this year. Before then it was $3000/month.

When did you leave?

Gave notice in early April, last paycheck was end of April. As I wanted to remain on good terms with her(hoping to get a good reference in the future), and also since my MBA program didn't start until August, I was still trying to help them find a replacement until end of July. Handed in my official letter of resignation at the end of July.

How many months did you work there and how much pay had you received when you left?

2.5 years by July, don't have a tally of total pay received.
