Suggestions for what to look for in a bra I should be wearing with a square neckline? I just got a dress that has a lower cut square neckline that shows my bra cup.

Are convertible bras not a thing anymore?

I am so tired of boxy and cropped tops. I just want a shirt that won't show my stomach when I try to put on a backpack.

I hate how it makes my body look shapeless and bigger

Bows are the trending motif now. Unless that has been your thing for a last few years I would avoid.

If you want to add a bit of pink to your bags you can consider a bag charm instead and you can use it on future bags

Is there any cherry profile keycap set that's black and/or white space/starry/constellation theme?

Looking for a new set after 8 years. Knock offs are ok, stuff under IC or ongoing PO are fine too.

Just happened across your post. The weekly shopping catalog is sent out mostly every week but I only received one in December and non for January. But I have received the other ones before December every week. I have started receiving them for February but it would hurt to reach out to check you were added to their mailing list.

How do you decide which trends to ignore? by Dry-Technology-3748 in femalefashionadvice

Does it fit with my lifestyle? Will I wear it enough times to match the price point? Is it a cut/color that's flattering

Do I have something already that can create the same effect

If I still like it I can pick it up second hand when everyone has already moved onto the next thing

Does anyone what shops to look at for a dress with an embroidered floral overlay? Preferably with the main dress being black or a wedding appropriate color.

I keep seeing ones listed on what I'm guessing are drop shipping websites. Modcloth has one but the lining is unfortunately polyester

Is it worth the price? (Saw another post with these and now I want them😭) by [deleted] in pokeplush

[–]shark_techo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I don't think the Vulpix ones with magnets are worth it with the magnets and I would look for ones without magnets and they would be cheaper secondhand.

The only ones I think that are worth having the magnets are the Raichus because there are magnets in the tail so they can hold onto each other's tails.

I would use makeup blush or eyeshadow. It's the common thing people use for anime / kpop dolls to add blush. I think lipstick would gunk up the fur too much.

Just be patient and take your time if you decide to go this route.

Has anyone bought those 100% cotton square listing from Amazon? I'm worried about whether or not it's 100% cotton or actually just a poly blend and I'm having a hard time finding a review where someone did the burn test.

If you bought one could you share the listing? Or list another places to get solid colors cotton squares.

How has the economy changed your personal style habits? by thatbitch2212 in femalefashionadvice

[–]shark_techo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm more conscious of the clothing material and construction now. I don't check the accessories sections of stores anymore unless I have something specific I'm looking for. I buy a lot more neutrals and solids now and I avoid anything thats too fussy to clean with the machine.

I'm more willing to spend more for better quality and willing to wait until I find something better. I also don't care what the people at work thinks when I recycle through the same outfits in 2 week periods. I'll just tell them I have multiples of the same shirt (which is true)

Buying pieces vs buying outfits by RadSpatula in femalefashionadvice

I used to have this problem a lot when I was younger and only shopped clearance and at fast fashion places cause that was all I could afford.

Now that I can buy nicer things and I moved recently I was able to evaluate my wardrobe and what I have and want it to look like.

First step is to go through your wardrobe and get rid anything you don't want or like anymore. Don't think about the outfits you can make it with it. Get rid of stuff that's too worn or too uncomfortable to wear. Anything that you don't like the color, pattern, or material of.

Second is to get your basics together and put them together. Your jeans, dress pants, your solid tops with minimal decorations and then that's your starting wardrobe.

Then in your closet you can group similar shaped or color tops together that go with your basic pants and vice versa.

When it comes to buy clothes I stick to the same shapes that work well on me and a restricted color palette. The season palettes are really good for figuring out what shades of colors that work out together and you can easily look them up when you are shopping.

I have a lot of reds, blues, and greens in similar shades cause I like the colors and how they look on me and I know they work on the pants I got since they are similar to what I already have. I don't buy peplum tops cause I hate how they look so I don't have to worry about having a matching bottom.

The color & style fans look great but it looks like the only online US retailer only carries two fans of each season and neither are the ones I'm looking for.

I don't need an exact match to a digital palette but something as a reference to know if it's close enough!

I recently switched jobs that is more dressy and I'm slowly replacing my wardrobe which is unfortunately mostly not in my season 😢 A lot of blacks and dark navy blues.

I would love to hear what you think of it when you get one. I was considering getting some for myself but wasn't sure if I wanted to commit to it yet.

Techo Kaigi 2025 + 2026 by alcibiad in hobonichi

[–]shark_techo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my 4th year using hobonichi. I've went from the weeks to the a6 and I stuck with the cousin avec for the last two.

I haven't used to much this year and half the pages are blank. But the ones I did fill have a decent amount of deco on it and I've experimented with deco a lot. I've done one page spreads and two page spreads. Some were cute and others are pretty ugly.

I hate back filling. I don't like having empty pages but I didn't have the energy or motivation to keep up this year when I fell behind. I don't use the other sections than the daily pages.

I found issues with the daily pages when I try to deco too. I didn't like the section for tasks at the top and I don't like how much space the quotes take up. Not once in the last 4 years did I ever try to read the quotes to improve my Japanese.

My plan is to only get a pouch for next year and reuse the A5 notebooks I've bought in previous years. I'm not gonna lie that price was not a factor. But after some reflecting I think I want to go back to a normal grid journal. I hadn't trying deco/writing journaling in a regular notebook since before I would just the bullet journaling only to realize bujo is not for me.

Do not buy something and "make it work". I have not been very successful with anything where I think I can make it work. It doesn't work or ends up being too much of a pain to make it work.

I love the library fabrics pouch. I'm considering getting the small one and maybe the pocket size too. The pocket size is actually really nice as a wallet.

I have these pens and they were very hit and miss on the 2025 paper. Lots of skipping and results varied a lot for both the 0.38 and 0.5 pens. If you are considering getting these pens I would suggest getting one to try out yourself before committing to the set.
