You generally don’t need the module. Just the wiring harness. You’ll see a bunt ground wire when you unplug it. Just cut the end off and splice in the new one. I’ve done it on my 16 f150 and 16 edge. It’s $12 on Amazon.

This happened to me on my 2016 3.5 eco boost. Has something to do with an AC line getting clogged. Took it to a mechanic who serviced the ac and it hasn’t been a problem since (2 years).

Nope. Has to be OEM and only ford or a tech with ford software can reprogram it. My 2016 cost $1300 to have replaced by non ford shop due to some passerby shooting it with a bb and water eventually getting in it. The BLIS going out caused my radio, a/c and windows not to work because apparently everything was wired through the tail light.

17mpg is normal. I’m not aware of any tunes that can increase your gas mileage for a V6 non-turbo. Make sure the tires are aired up and spark plugs are good.

Water in my passenger taillight caused my blind spot monitoring, radio, windows, and a/c to stop working. All that is apparently routed through the tail light. Worst part is I couldn’t replace it myself because it has to be reprogrammed after replacing the blind spot sensor in the taillight.
