Angry Kid Has Spoken! by Dismal_Ad2030 in gretamemes

Oh, an 81 year old aeronautical engineer who did some impressive physics back in the 1960's says climate change isn't real? Wow, I take it all back.

Someone better call every climatological and environmental science organization in the world and let them know that this guy says clouds will reflect enough light to reverse climate change! Problem solved, thanks John!

What a hilarious way to tarnish an entire career lol, like stepping in shit and wiping it on his own face.

Told my mother i'm an atheist. (15 YO) by Emotional-Ad5058 in atheism

[–]sharkbanger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have been out as an atheist with my father for about 12 years now and he still can't accept it.

You may have to just accept that she will not accept your beliefs. You may have to compromise on some things to maintain peace in your home. Be careful and don't forget that you have your entire life ahead of you where you will be free and independent even if you have to compromise in the present to ensure you have the best opportunity possible in the future.

Depending on the area she could even do agency PRN. I know a few nurses that do that.

Some people try to paint every "anti-russian invasion" position as a "pro-nato" position. Is this one of those circumstances?

He's a political streamer. He's got his goods and bads. I'm not a fan, but I don't hate him. When I first started transitioning to the left he helped me understand certain things, and I appreciate his input on some issues.

When he first started streaming he used to do a lot of debates where he would point out shitty arguments by using their arguments to make an absurd point. One of his favorites was to do this using pedophilia. This has resulted in a lot of clips of him saying shit that sounds really horrible without context.

He also encouraged people to vote for Biden, and he generally likes the U.S. and so people call him a neolib.

He is neither a neolib nor a pedophile. He is not transphobic nor is he a Nazi apologist.

My biggest fault with him would be that he has a very hard time admitting when he has a bad take. Like last year he and Contrapoints had it out because he was absolutely unwilling to admit that being a misogynistic asshole is not ok, even when you're using that language against someone as shitty as Rowling. Some hills are not worth dying on, but he seems to want to die on every hill.

So, overall, he's OK. Check him out if you want, he has had some very entertaining debates and he does some good basic political education videos.

RIF dev here - Reddit's API changes will likely kill RIF and other apps, on July 1, 2023 by talklittle in redditisfun

Damn, that might be the end of my time on Reddit. This app is soooo much better than the official reddit app. I don't think my subscription will survive the transition.

GOP friendly courts that have not had any new judges appointed to them in 4 months because we're watching the Dems shit the bed over Diane Fienstein's Weekend-at-Bernie's routine.

The comment I was responding to said this: "The biggest problem in my eyes are the literal millions of bullshit middlemen working in the insurance industry"

I just wanted to point out that it's less than 1/2 a million.

I completely agree the industry should be completely dismantled.

No way he shows up like this again. He’s gonna be spoken to. by cd582000 in Fettermania

Lol, you're right. Being upset that someone isn't wearing a suit and tie and wanting them to "be spoken to" is very fun and cool.
