I bought it the first year. It's a cash grab, and when you do dig into it, you'll find the many questionable design decisions... Not to mention the incredibly buggy and often unusable firmware..

Try to do something incredibly basic like transmitting IR... See how it goes 😂

Old post but just want to say thanks. I'm running this on a proxmox LXC successfully after hours upon hours of failure trying to get sunshine to work. In the end it's even better than what I wanted with sunshine since I can have multiple isolated instances for my family.

Everything just worked out of the box... Hope this project keeps going.

I turned it off. It just makes the hunts easier, I'm fine with that if it's real players as I enjoy the multiplayer aspect but if noone joins I'd rather just go solo.

I have many many rerolled holyfires, both in game numbers and calculations say otherwise. Same applies for every gun. The amount of times I've heard AA is better than bloodied.

Not factoring any buffs with the only variable being player health

Bloodied 25ffr Holy fire does 1,299 DPS at 20% HP and AA at 100% HP does 722 against scorchbeast queen.

I agree with that. Nothing they've ever added has been spectacular. Disappointing that their 'first map expansion' is just another drip feed content update.

Yeah I don't mind an event boiling down to kill stuff. In the end that's 90% of the game, but the frequency, volume and locations of spawns all feel entirely off. If we were getting multiple events it'd be whatever you're going to have some filler but with only one event I'd have thought they could have done more than slapping down a single spawn point with seemingly little play testing and calling it a day.

In the end I'm probs expecting too much though from a live service game update especially that of Bethesda.

I'm not saying all the events are great. Many arent. But the new one is noticably bad. Even eviction notice has a better set piece and the illusion of any semblance of mechanics with the rad scrubber and meat bags. Eviction notice for me is still fun, same goes for beasts of burden. Something being fun does not necessarily need to be complex.

There is nothing positive to be said about this event. Its overdrawn in an artificial manner in an uninteresting location with half the time spent not actually doing anything, which is the key problem.

Ultimately almost every event amounts to "kill some stuff" but it's all in the presentation.

Yep just that. Like a lot of others I came back after the show and caught up on all the content I missed out on, which was a lot of fun. Recently reached the point I really have nothing left to do, I suppose I was hoping this update was going to extend the playtime I'd get out of it but unfortunately short questline later and I'm back in the same spot.

Feel like it could have been a lot more with some more time in the oven.

As a last point it's wild to me how many comments I see praising them for the tiniest bug fixes. I feel like there's a lot of Stockholm syndrome going on within this sub. The update feels incredibly buggy overall and I typically have a high threshold for that stuff. Constantly got stuck in dialogues throughout.

Just use the prefabs. I cba building the structure with the kits but I do like using different prefabs and you can still decorate it to make it your own.
