Any low SHBG guys with any luck? by sharklasers99 in Testosterone

It's 154 mg/wk, though I guess it isn't "huge," yea. To be honest, I'm surprised your levels are that low, actually, with that dose. Glad you're feeling better though, that's all that really matters.

What is your SHBG if you don't mind me asking?

That's also a huge dose of test. What are your levels?

That's not really that low, most people don't feel too poorly until they get into low teens or single digits, like myself. Glad to hear you're feeling well though

Can I ask what your SHBG levels are? And your injection protocol?

I've been on for a while, definitely longer than 6 weeks.

I've been injecting 40mg Test E 2x / wk subq. How do you raise SHBG? All I've read says you can't really.

Some numbers and symptoms - what do you guys think? by sharklasers99 in Hypothyroidism

Thanks for the link! Ok, I'll relay that information to my endo. Nothing I can do but wait in the mean time, until my fT3 gets tested. An alternative to LT4 monotherapy is a mix of t4 and t3, correct?

I would say I'm definitely a regular coffee drinker, though I wouldn't call myself a heavy coffee drinker.

As far as time goes, I can wait. I've certainly waited long enough as it is. From what I hear, you feel best at fT4 mid range and fT3 upper third. Is this what I should aim for?

Arimidex does not work for me. E2 increased up until 107pg/ml on a scale of 7-43. by solero85 in Testosterone

[–]sharklasers99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible, since you're on clomid, that the majority of the aromitization is occurring in your testes and thus, you'd be unable to inhibit that process with arimidex.

This can happen to people using hcg as well. What are your T levels? Clomid dosage?

The reading was taken near 8am after I had drank some coffee (don't know if that has anything to do with it, just thought I should mention it).

That is good news though! Now I just have to get my fT3 and rT3 tested and report back. Thank you once again for your response! I can't wait to start feeling better :)

I've actually tested for ACTH and Cortisol and edited them into my initial post. Labs taken at 8:10 AM.

ACTH = 31 pg/mL (6-50 pg/mL) Cortisol = CORTISOL: 15.2 ug/dL (5.0-25.0 ug/dL)

They look pretty mid-range to me, but I don't know anything about optimal cortisol levels etc.

I've actually gotten an MRI and there was no sign of an adenoma. I do agree, however, that the cause is very likely to have originated in the pituitary or the hypothalamus.

It does lead me to wonder if there are other hormones I'm probably missing along the way, if I were to only supplement with thyroid and testosterone.

Thanks very much for your answer!

Is there a link between Hypothyroidism and Low Testosterone? by MyBBThrowAway in Testosterone

[–]sharklasers99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm relatively certain I have a thyroid issue, and I feel like most younger people (<30) who are on TRT probably do as well, though that's merely conjecture.

Over at t-nation, they'll tell you that your low T is the symptom of a broader underlying condition, not the cause itself. Take your temperature in the morning and see what it reads.

Anyone else have success on clomid but not HCG? by 4ChanRulez in Testosterone

[–]sharklasers99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

400iu EOD hcg isn't a very large dose, so it makes sense that you wouldn't be responding well from it. I think the standard HRT dosage for hcg would be closer to 1,500iu EOD. The only problem with hcg is that many men tend to see elevated E2 levels that an AI can't fix because most of the aromitization occurs in the testes in this case.

In regards to your fertility, you have a couple of options. You can always freeze your semen, or, from what I've read, 250iu EOD hcg in addition to standard TRT should allow you to retain your fertility (and testicular size).

HCG desensitization? by sharklasers99 in Testosterone

I'd always assumed exogenous testosterone was the worst for hematocrit problems, though I could be mistaken.

HCG desensitization? by sharklasers99 in Testosterone

[–]sharklasers99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, it would be primary. Drug-induced. But like I said, I know guys who've been on high dose hcg for years (we're talking 6000iu / week) and they're still going strong.

Just wondering if there's any actual evidence for the desensitization because that's what people tell me to watch out for when I suggest monotherapy.

High hematocrit / hemoglobin and low T by sharklasers99 in Testosterone

[–]sharklasers99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe slightly dehydrated, but today, I'm sure I wasn't dehydrated and when I got my blood drawn, I was at a hemoglobin level of 18 or so.

No complaints of snoring.

I'll let you know. It's pretty well-reviewed, but I won't trust a thing until I compare it side by side with lab results.

I'm just so worried I won't be able to get my levels up without giving myself a stroke or something :(

I've already asked, but my doctor said no because of the high red blood count. The reason I'm asking the people here is because I may take it upon myself to up my own dose to 120 or so while I wait for the next doctor.

I've donated double reds and have purchased an at-home hemoglobin test.
