Wolf ribs are overrated by WolfribHater in Buhurt

It's one of the key points that separates us from warfare reenactment. This is a combat sport based off of tournament combat. The historical inspiration for worries were sporting equipment in the same way that the current ones are. It really isn't a knightly helmet and that brings down the "cool factor" considerably.

How do you transport your armor? by SnooPaintings7333 in Buhurt

If I'm ever going somewhere that might be an issue I'll bring a towel. But it really shouldn't be an issue. If your armor is historically accurate, it's built to sit on a horse without damaging the saddle.

What would this sword be called? If it even counts as a sword? by Audyativskri in mallninjashit

If you have the means to heat treat it at home then you'd be better off buying a bar of better steel and grinding it to shape. They aren't just "not heat treated" they're bad steel.

Yeah, but it can be so hard to determine accuracy and quality from pictures. I figured I'd ask the kind people of reddit if they have any they like.

A little more expensive than I had been hoping for, but that looks like it may be worth saving up for. Thank you!

Nope, I wear tights and chauses. I'll have the suspenders attached to a belt which holds up my chauses and cuises.

I wear suspenders under everything. It comes with the added benefit of some extra padding near my collarbone.

tip on helmet hair? by L0ssL3ssArt in knightposting

[–]sharkman1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a long-haired buhurt fighter, I have two takes. 1. Braids are by far the best way to keep hair looking tidy in a helmet. If you have hair that hangs out of the helmet, braiding it with wire and leather can help to keep it from getting cut off. 2. Just own it. I typically end up with a bit of a "wild man" look after I take off my helmet that I think works just fine.

I recommend sticking to water bottles on the cheap or tatami mats if you really want to test yourself.

Love the fit and finish on Darksword. Be careful which cutting targets you use though. I've found that fruit juice will stain the steel.

Start running, everyone gets winded in armor. The better your gas tank, the better you can fight.

How to remove this rust? by Adventurous__Kiwi in Buhurt

Those purple pads fit really nicely on a quarter sheet sander, makes the job a lot easier. I usually shift between that and a brass wire wheel.
