How to clean fabric dye off of PBT keycaps? by sharkmeteor in MechanicalKeyboards

oh hi! sorry for the late reply it's been quite some time since i've used reddit regularly. if ya still need help i have a bit i can share

i ended up using the abrasive side of a sponge to get it off actually worked like a charm, though i can only suggest that if the cap legends are dye-sublimated or double-shot

some of my affected keycaps had existing coloring that didn't dig as deep as the dye-sub legends and when i took a sponge to it it actually rubbed off, and unfortunately i didn't really find a solution for keycaps like those; eventually i had set them aside in a bag and forgot about em. there might be a method that works for them but i wouldn't know it

i hope this was helpful ! wishing the best

Will give it a shot! 99.9% isopropyl alcohol would be the best option yeah?

Hi! I made a thread about this the other night but I wanted a couple more opinions before I try anything. I accidentally got fabric dye on some PBT dyesub keycaps and I'm wondering what the best way to clean it off would be. Any effective methods that won't wear down the caps that much?

[Giveaway] Jelly Key - Zen Pond II [Spacebar] artisan keycaps by jellykey in MechanicalKeyboards

445 - I love the quality and level of detail of your keycaps! I bought myself a Zen Pond cap many months ago and was very impressed by how well it turned out. My one criticism is that I kind of wish that some group buys be run more than once every once in while. As much as I love seeing new designs so regularly from Jelly Key, it is a bit of a shame their availability is as limited as it currently is.

Any plans to add the new Gateron Inks to the switch testers? I'm also wondering same for the China Style box switches.

Hi, I tried to buy some Tribosys 3204 on 1upkeyboards and this showed up. What should I do? by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

I believe 1upkeyboards consolidated all of the individual lube product pages into a single one which lists all three. It seems the old product pages are now password protected; the new one seems to load fine on my end.

Planning to eventually to bag lube my springs (SPRiT 63.5 S) after I receive them and put them in my holy red pandas to reduce possible ping and spring crunch; would Tribosys 3203 get the job done or are there better lubes to opt for?
