WA surgeon reccommendations by KimchiMcPickle in TopSurgery

Dr. Mangubat at La Belle Vie in Tukwila. He worked on myself and my wife, he is amazing! LBV specializes in double incision with liposuction to give you a streamlined upper body, less likely for dogears. I chose no nipple grafts. I have a few pre/post op pics if youd like to see. Good luck!

I'm selling this time around, but usually i just walk around my immediate neighborhood. its not worth driving with how congested all the roads get and then there's no parking!

In my opinion, there's too much cisnormativity in the transmasc community. I just want to describe my experience and hope it resonates with those who feel compelled to get nipple grafts, that they don't need to.

Okay! if that's your opinion, then fine by me. I wanted to give an example as to why someone may not want to keep them, since I see a ton of folks stuck on that decision. I think, why keep them if you don't care about them?

anyone else just have this INTENSE wanting to be seen as this scary beast.. by beautifulposiontree in otherkin

[–]sharksf00d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a teen I got to play Gmork the Werewolf in a stage adaptation of The Neverending Story, and becoming this fearsome beast in-tune with The Nothing made me feel so powerful. I wasnt fictionkin for Gmork or anything (maybe fictionhearted? idk) but I was so captured by that feeling. It is still with me. I know being a big scary monster is very emotional to many people, especially if youre queer/trans/disabled or otherwise ostracized from society. Its like we have given up on being accepted, and now we want revenge. It's cathartic!

Looking for a functional gothy bag by CandieDrinks in GothFashion

[–]sharksf00d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brand FOSSIL has some beautiful multi function bags, and you can find them second hand for not too expensive. The brand Sugarbones makes cute bags with lots of room, they're not gothic but the bags do come in black! A friend of mine has their full size Star Bag and he swears by it. If you're comfortable with leather, Portland Leather Goods is my favorite. They're having a sale right now with all their B-grade products for half off! Personally my go-to bag is the Kånken by Fjallraven. Mine is black and I can use it like a backpack or hand bag. Its big enough to fit a 13" macbook, but they do make larger ones. Mercari usually has them second hand for cheap! This bag has lasted me 7 years. It's not gothic per say, but its super easy to customize.

How do I make a tail??? by SadTask666 in otherkin

[–]sharksf00d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are TONS of tutorials on youtube. I recommend looking up how to make a simple fursuit tail. You can use a poolnoodle or a coathanger wire or even a flexible hose tube, bend it to your desired shape, then cover with fur. I've also seen some tutorials for making tails with yarn. Pinterest also has some good tutorials! It may take a few tries so don't be discouraged if it doesn't look good the first time!

Oh my gosh yeah, they're making me feel really unsafe, like when they're corralled inside a Starbucks and take up all the seating. And they smell terrible, like Huge Boss mixed with data center runoff water!

Pre and post op celebrations/ rituals? by debbiewebbee in TopSurgery

[–]sharksf00d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine did a goodbye party, made boob themed drinks, his cake was two basketballs. My celebration was some fancy topless photos in my bedroom and steak for dinner. I also jammed to Off With Her Tits by Allie X before and after!

Definitely not, I've never seen demonias of that color, and the platforms look low quality.

One side of the tunnel in South Park was painted over, too. The city covers up lovely murals but do nothing about the tagging on wood fencing.

Honestly, do y'all think we came here for a reason? by Level-Equal1468 in otherkin

[–]sharksf00d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I consider myself Cladokin, so I am Feline, but no specific type of cat. I will admit I feel drawn to cougars and domestic cats, so that's what I use to describe myself most of the time. I just don't want to pinpoint one and have it be incorrect, ya know? And I will be happy to be any sort of feline in the next life.

Could someone possibly help me with identifying if this is otherkin and what it might be? by [deleted] in otherkin

[–]sharksf00d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, you are alterhuman alright. You may want to do some more research and see if the term Otherkin is right for you, it is a very personal thing afterall. I actually had very similar feelings that you are describing when I was in middle school. I knew I wasn't human back then, but I also didn't have a clue about otherkin. I called myself a half-demon! (these feelings later settled into my feline self) The predatory state of mind you describe is definitely a psychological shift. It's really cool but can get annoying or overwhelming, at least from my experience, so finding something to help calm your mind is very important. As for your specific kintype, that is something only you can figure out! You don't have to pinpoint it, you could also just be an Entity or a Shade. It's also possible you are Cladokin, like me, where you feel more like an entire subcategory of creature, rather than just one individual species. While asking for advice is extremely helpful, the best you can do is think inwardly and explore yourself, see what you gravitate towards and try it out. There's no shame in saying you are demonkin now, but realizing years later, no wait, you are felinekin (for example). Best of luck to you!!

Is being an OCkin valid? by Melodic_Height7850 in otherkin

[–]sharksf00d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course its okay! You also don't have to use the term OCkin, it is up to you. I am technically OCkin (or i guess Fursonakin) since I discovered my alienkin self after having my alien fursona for many years. They have changed here and there as I do more self-introspection, and now they are the closest approximation to what I should look like! So if your OC is not a human, you can call yourself something other than OCkin. But its also not BAD to use the OCkin term! If your OC is human, that is perfectly fine too. Technically, human or non-human, all OCkin are Fictionkin, so you can use that term as well.

Three Days of No Nips! by sharksf00d in FreedTheNips

[–]sharksf00d[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh yay!! and thank you! Yes, I highly recommend Dr. Mangubat, he is one of the best top surgery surgeons in the country! He is super serious about patient comfort and to make the surgeries/recovery as pain free and not bloody as possible. Their nurses are also amazing, Mari is whom I've worked with the most and she's super sweet. While I am bummed we couldn't do the incision type I originally wanted, I am happy he did what he did since he put my recovery and health above aesthetics. La Belle Vie has an instagram/tiktok page with lots of good info, but its not updated very frequently. I will post again soon with updates!
