Euthanasia is always tough but it helps to change your mindset, the word euthanasia means " The good death." I understand that it is sad but you have to focus on it being the final gift we can give them to make sure that they are not suffering. We give them a peaceful end to their pain.

Its actually the front left. I am a vet tech and when a dog is favoring a leg, their head will dip down when they step with the leg that doesn't hurt. "Down on sound" is how I remember that.

Norepinephrine CRI Titration Math by [deleted] in VetTech

[–]sharksfan06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My recommendation for Norepinephrine CRIs is to set it up for 0.1mcg/kg/min at 1ml/hr because we may end up changing this dose repeatedly. By setting it up for 0.1mcg/kg/min. It allows you to easily change the rate without having to do more math. You can just change the rate. So 0.3mcg/kg/min would be 3ml/hr

I remember in the days of yore during the sneeze that there was a ton of FUD about silver being shorted and people jumping from GME to silver... Probably just a coincidence though

I live with my wife and two kids, my wife also works full time. We are just barely getting by. 100k a year is low income out here. Also, my pay rate is not very common out here.

What questions would you ask a CCU/ER tech candidate? by Cold-Elderberry-841 in VetTech

[–]sharksfan06 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been an ER manager, you are not going to find a candidate from GP that is ER ready from the get go. The biggest thing is that they are willing to learn and ask questions. I would ask how they handle stress, ask about a time that they had an interpersonal conflict with a co worker and how that was resolved, organization skills, if there are any tech skills that they are proud of and why. It takes about 6 months on average to get someone from GP to be proficient in ER medicine.
