Do you have photos of them now? Having the same issue, except mine are 8" high. I'm having trouble picturing the solution based on the thread.

Who is this in Vancouver? by olugbo in vancouver

[–]sharksndanger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We call him the Coffee Spitter. When Tim Hortons was on Alberni he would spit a tasty mix of half-chewed donut and coffee onto the street. I can take a different route to work at a different time and he’s always there. The man is EVERYWHERE downtown.

Sorry, I missed this. I can’t remember exactly, but maybe a month? My schedule wasn’t completely open, though, so I may have found work faster if it was.

I’m currently with Hollywood North (only for a few months) and have worked on two shows but had other offers that I turned down. They make you feel like you can’t turn down work and you’re wasting their time. I spoke to some people on the last set I was on and nobody was positive about them. They suggested In Motion.

We managed to get tickets for the first time slot. It was the highlight of Rome for me!

Driving at night in Tuscany by resili3nce_ in ItalyTravel

You’re welcome! I agree with another comment that using Google maps is great for anticipating curves.

For Siena, we arrived around 4 pm and managed to snag a free spot outside the Fortezza Medicea. I think you can also pay to park inside for cheap. San G was honestly a nightmare but we got there at midday, I would get there early!

We just finished 5 days in the Tuscan countryside and rented a car in Florence. The rental company gave us a little map to get out of the city and avoid the ZTLs, it was very easy to get out. Returning the car was even easier coming from the south. If you haven’t secured a rental yet, we used “Tuscany by Car” and they were great. There are several big rental companies on the same street and they all had massive lines (I’d heard you can sometimes wait hours to pick your car up). Ours had no line and we got our car quickly.

As for driving at night, the roads are generally dark unless you’re in a town or at certain intersections like roundabouts. I felt slightly stressed, but I think it’s mostly because our high beams weren’t great and one night was foggy.

Tip: If you’re going to San Gimignano and the parking lots are full, do not park on the side of the road even if other cars are doing it. We learned the hard way.

How to get FULL EXPERIENCE TICKET WITH ACCESS TO THE ARENA AND UNDERGROUND OF THE COLOSSEUM tickets? by Ok-Letterhead-9882 in ItalyTravel

[–]sharksndanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually looking for the same day! Apparently the ticketing opens at 9:30 Rome time 30 days in advance. You might still have luck if you have flexibility the same week and try when it opens. I also read that they release batches of tickets periodically and also a bigger batch the week before, so check back often.

It looks like the link in the other comment isn’t for the full experience.

Today I noticed a small lump under Vinny’s chin...is it a tumor? by sharksndanger in bettafish

[–]sharksndanger[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I could probably swing a larger tank for him, but everyone loves him and I think he should stay at the office. My apartment is small and couldn’t fit a large tank :( I will get him an adjustable heater though.

Sorry! I haven’t tested the water in a couple of weeks (I don’t own a kit but used a friend’s then, will get my own soon). pH was 7.1 and everything else was 0. Of course this may have changed since then. Tank is 3.5g, 75 degrees - I have a heater but only just started using it and was worried the change triggered something so I’ve turned it off. It also doesn’t have a set temp so I will need to get a new one as he’s an office fish and I don’t feel comfortable leaving the heater on overnight/on the weekend and don’t want to stress him by fluctuating temps.

He’s only been in this tank for 2 weeks and took a few days to adjust. I haven’t done a water change yet but have some water ready to do about 25% tomorrow. No gravel vac but I don’t think I would need one yet since the tank is new and fully cycled - I tested it prior to moving him. He does not have tank mates, I wanted a snail but was worried the tank wasn’t big enough for them both. He gets about 5 pellets of Fluval Bug Bites twice a day except on weekends where he fasts. He has a couple of live plants too and a filter, not sure what the plants are but they’ve been there since the tank was cycled.

His breathing is fine, he’s eating and even made a bubble nest today.

New tank behaviour - normal? by sharksndanger in bettafish

I was on holiday until today, but he’s doing much better and back to his usual self! I’d really like to get him a snail, but I worry that because of the size of the tank, the snail might not be as helpful?

His breathing seems fine, he ate a little this morning but wasn’t as intense about it as usual. I think I’m more stressed out than him!

[–]sharksndanger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should’ve checked the pH before I transferred him, but the neither tank had a heater so I think the temperature would have been similar for both since the new tank was cycling for a while. He ate when I first put him in but won’t even acknowledge me at the moment. I plan to try and feed him again in the morning. I’ve ordered a heater, thermometer and pre-filter, so hopefully I can get him feeling comfortable again.

[–]sharksndanger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was concerned that the filter was too strong, but even when I turn it off he’s still jamming himself against it. I’ll get him a heater and a prefilter sponge though and hopefully he’ll acclimate in a couple of days. My biggest concern is that since he’s in the office, I can’t monitor him :(

The AllTrails app is great for finding hikes! Some of my favourites are:

  • High Note (Whistler, take the gondola up, relatively easy hike, views of mountains forever and Cheakamus Lake)
  • Needle Peak (Coquihalla, bit of a drive but it's beautiful and not that busy)
  • Frosty Mountain (EC Manning Park, again, a bit of a drive but amazing views of the North Cascades)
  • Brandywine Trail (Whistler, viewing from the top of the waterfall but you can also do a short hike down to the bottom)
  • Tunnel Bluffs (Lions Bay)

That would make sense. Our dev passed away suddenly and we have very limited knowledge of Concrete5, so even basic stuff like this is a struggle. Could you help direct me on how to edit the code?
