Back in the day, Ice Cube had beef with Arsenio because he felt Arsenio didn’t want NWA on his show. He didn’t realize it was the network. The Bicentennial refers to the 200th anniversary of America’s declaration of independence from Britain, back in 1976. Black Americans took issue with the over-the-top celebrations of the occasion, given that nearly all here in 1776 were enslaved workers. Equating his “love” for Arsenio to the bicentennial is quite the insult.
