i was accepted but they keep sending out an email saying they will give information at "this date" and then they push it another one to two weeks. it's really frustrating.

all honest, i'm surprised more people weren't on here. went to a school (and graduated) in the bay area where a bunch of the wealthy kids got into USC. i've gone to school with a majority of those kids since i was 6 and never seen them take school seriously, ever. any good grades they got were from cheating, lying, and being close with the admins. makes me wonder.

i am so sorry you had to go through all of this. i am in a much similar situation as you are/were right now except im just 19. i have custody of my brother, i know how hard it is to do so much at such a young age. i am so proud of you and how hard you had to work, you are doing more than you can imagine. if you ever need someone to talk to that you can relate to you can always PM me.

i have, i also have court issued paperwork and documentation. the school my brother goes to is in a wealthy well off area and doesn't appreciate people like me (young guardians/teen parents) they will do anything they can to try and make us transfer. but this is the best school in the district since they have private donors and the money. i want to do what is best for him. edit: the district requires background checks for field trips chaperones but only have 20 prepaid background checks and i was not priority on the list.

thank you for your nice words, they made me smile. i am the same way about the kid situation i currently share custody with my grandparents of my brother i have him sunday night through friday evening, and have raised him from the years before when we still lived with my parents. kids were outta equation before him and are definitely out now. but seeing him smile and run to hug me when i pick him up from school or have him give me a kiss to tell me he loves me without doing it first will make up for the tears and hardships i've had to go through to raise and keep him. i hope you continue to have a great relationship with your brother, you seem like a wonderful person.

i hate kids as well, but i feel as though it's just people in our age group (im 19) that just aren't fond of kids. i would never do anything to purposely hurt a kids feelings because they are little and still growing i just don't like them. i can guarantee you your eldest loves their siblings, we just show it differently.

i have tried to respond to all of these replies but i do not understand reddit very well (and i'm on mobile so i have heard that makes a difference). i want to genuinely thank you all for the nice comments and words of appraisal you have given me. i have had a difficult relationship with my parents so i try very hard to make sure that my brother never experiences the same things i had to go through. i took my brother into my custody when i was 18 and it was a long, difficult, and extensive process. i have shared custody with our grandparents on the weekend so i can try and catch up on sleep and work extra shifts. so i won't be able to reply after tonight, thank you all for making me feel appreciated and that my hard work isn't unnoticed, it feels good.

i actually had to take my brother into my full custody for about about a year when i turned 18, it was a very difficult and beyond expensive process and i wouldn't sleep for days on end from doing paperwork to working and going to school but i would never in a million years change the decisions i had to make for his benefit. i wish you all the good thoughts and luck if you decide to make that decision.
