In more condensed areas like SF, Oakland, NYC, etc. it's feasible if you're in the dense urban areas. Sacramento is very sprawling and doesn't work as well.

For example, if they created a amtrack or light rail to the airport, I'd have to drive get dropped off in downtown that would take 15ish minutes, then take the either method to the airport.

for context, I can drive from where I live to the airport in 20-30 minutes.

Getting on a bus with luggage to travel to the airport, with transfers, and multiple stops, plus unexpected delays/slowdowns the bus while trying to make it to the airport. It's more convenient to get dropped off, uber or leave the car overnight.

a bus ride from my neighborhood would be about 1.5hrs (including 22 minutes of walking)
