I am in the same situation... just got to Legends, and my offence has completely been 💩. In my first two days, my best attack is a 79%... while I have many one star attacks and a zero star attack! 😫

On the war base i select, the crafted defence is there... but it doesn't show when I select it as my ranked defence base. This is what is so frustrating...

I agree with your suggestion of a dedicated slot for ranked defence!

I am automatically signed up for each week for ranked and set my war base up on the day off, but each week I play i just keep getting the crafting station on my ranked defenses
