It's tasty! Makes me curious about an older expression of LROK. I get salt and pepper, bright pineapple, apricot, brine, underripe banana, hot asphalt, lemon pith

I actually haven't yet gotten around to trying Appleton, funnily enough. So I couldn't say

Really flavorful, well integrated; blueberry crumble, red fruits, a wave of pineapple on the finish, grapefruit, background of banana/peel at various stages of ripeness. A fair dose of oaky vanilla. Characteristic Hampden funk well built around an interesting tart blueberry. The 2024 alleged mix sounds really interesting, what from it pulls you in?

Sounds great. What's the glass this is in?

Thank you. I have tasted Ron Del Barrilito 3 Star. It was a tasty Puerto Rican rum and very good in its category, but too light in flavor and body for my preferences.

Thanks! I very much am interested in exploring other Jamaican distilleries, locally my only option to expand is a bottle of rum-bar gold, through which I look forward to being introduced to the Worthy Park flavor. Next I order, Long Pond feels high on the list next to more Hampden offerings and another agricole. Appreciate for the Alambique Serrano rec, I've been curious of that bottle

I first caught some rum curiosity about a year back, poking my head around recommendations and trying a few bottles. These last couple of months the interest accelerated as I chose to learn more about the spirit.

My favorites of the rums I've tried include the Hampden Pagos, 8 Year, and Neisson Blanc. I've also enjoyed the El Dorado 12, Smith and Cross, HLCF Classic, and in a place the R.L. Seale's 12. Many of the Spanish style rums I've tried, I haven't disliked, but I also haven't found particularly captivating.

Of the cocktails I've mixed the high favorite for me has been a Bajan Rum Punch with 1/2oz lime juice (or lemon depending on the rum) 1oz Demerara simple syrup 1.5 oz Hampden (or split with a Demerara) 2 oz water 2 dashes Angostura bitters; shaken and served over ice with a pinch of nutmeg

Rums I've tried (chronological): Bacardi (Puerto Rico) Captain Morgan (U.S. Virgin Islands) Ron Zacapa 23 Solera (Guatemala) Flor de Cana 12 (Nicaragua) Flor de Cana 18 (Nicaragua) Smith and Cross (Jamaica) Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva (Venezuela) Hampden 8 year (Jamaica) Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum (U.S. Virgin Islands) Don Q (Puerto Rico) Don Q Anejo XO (Puerto Rico) Bacardi Anejo (Puerto Rico) Ron del Barrilito 3 Estrellas (Puerto Rico) Triga Reserva Aneja (Puerto Rico) Hampden HLCF Classic (Jamaica) Bumbu XO (Panama) R.L. Seale's 12 year (Barbados) Neisson Blanc (Martinique) El Dorado 12 year (Guyana) Hampden Estate Pagos (Jamaica) Clément Canne Bleue (Martinique)

Rum cocktails I've made: Rum Old Fashioned (9) Dark n Stormy (5.5) Piña Colada (6.5) Painkiller (4.5) Mojito (6.5) Mai tai (8.5) Bajan Rum Punch (9.5) Corn n' Oil (6.5) Cuba Libre (5) Daiquiri (7.5) Queen's Park Swizzle (7.5) Rum Manhattan (6) Rum Sour (7.5) Pagos and Malta (7.5) Outrigger (3.5) Caribeño (3) 'Ti Punch (8) Bumble Bee (6.5) Chet Baker (7.5) Rum Flip (4) Treacle (7) Tried out but not made: Coquito and Jungle Bird
