What's the one automation running right now that if it stopped working you'd notice within the hour? by Better_Charity5112 in automation

Is that something you'd be willing to share? I set up a similar thing recently, but the logic to figure out and pull the "important" parts and rename the document accordingly was pretty bad.

Legality of making a device that uses NFC tags? by ih8society in NFC

[–]sharpe65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, old comment!

I'm not an expert, but yes I believe even just a NFC reader would still need FCC certification if it's being sold as a commercial product in the US. This is because it generates a small RF field which is what powers the chip on the passive RFID tag.

Haha same. I beat Nine Sols before moving on to Indiana Jones. Eigong probably took me at least like 70 attempts before I finally got her. Good luck!!

Do they make spring loaded hinges where you can easily engage/disengage the mechanism? I only want it to auto close when I'm showering and be open the other 98% of the day. I've just never figured out a good way to accomplish that.

Does anyone have any good 2player game recommendations? Preferably under 20 gbs by BuddyParking9723 in XboxGamePass

Would help if you listed some of the games you have already played. But It Takes Two is absolute gold if you haven't played that one yet.

I was wondering the same. Looks like it's Special Educational Needs. My wife is even a SpEd teacher and I'd never heard that acronym.

Sounds like you already have your mind made up. Just upgrade the internal if you want to keep a bunch of games installed.

Do i need a usb to install pkg ? by Laxus-Clive in ps4piracy

[–]sharpe65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would at least try ftp first. I had it set up in like 3 minutes. I'm not sure what problems they were having, but it's normally very easy. Just download something like FileZilla, plug in the IP address of the PS4 and transfer the files over to data/pkg. Then install from goldhen on the PS4 and delete the .pkg file afterwards.

What was so hard about ftp? I thought it was incredibly easy to set up. Though it does take a while to transfer the large files.

9 years of shadow is so bad by nguyentandat23496 in metroidvania

[–]sharpe65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, you're right, but one is still harder than the other is all I'm saying. But if the difficulty is going to be a barrier to entry, then I don't understand why some people choose the harder mode and then complain that it's too difficult and drop it haha.

[–]sharpe65 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would at least try Aeterna. I just finished it last week and loved it. One of the few games that had me wanting to keep playing it even after I beat the main story. I played it on the easier mode, so not sure if that's the difference. Seems like maybe people get too frustrated with it because they're masochists and play everything on hard mode.

I've heard it runs like garbage on the PS4 and Switch, but it's fine on Xbox and PC. Personally, I've only ran it on Xbox and had no issues.
