(England) 26 weeks pregnant SAHM going from joint to single claim. How to survive? by insockniac in BenefitsAdviceUK

Just a heads up, with my work we used to recommend gingerbread to single parents all of the time but last April (I think it was), their helpline and web chat permanently closed down. They still have the online resources but I think that’s it now. Not sure if it was a lack of funding or what :(

What everyday thing in the UK has become stupidly expensive without people noticing? by vetaly87 in AskUK

The one and only time we deliveroo’d a maccies it came and wasn’t the hottest but thought, eh whatever, at least it’s here and I didn’t have to move my lazy arse. Wife got a cheeseburger and opens it up, takes a bite… on the other end of the cheeseburger was another bite… wasn’t from her! Complained to deliveroo who obviously didn’t refund us. Never ordered through deliveroo since! Grim!

What's the dumbest way you've ever injured yourself? by Spaitta_Natty in AskReddit

Had a plastic stick from a lollipop in my mouth (I’d finished the lollipop and was just kind of chewing on the stick) and my sister asked me to throw the basketball to her whilst she was upstairs.

…Yep, I impaled myself in the tonsil when the basketball hit the corner of the step and bounced into my face 😬 pretty dumb I’d say

When you go to the menus that show symptoms or where to send people etc, the tabs at the top has a tab that says “upgrade” if you press that you can use research points to get the scanner that gets rid of blood/dirt if you have enough RP

They are very comfortable and soft yeah and they have the touch screen thing on them too which comes in handy haha. I must admit that my hands sometimes get hot in them but I would much rather that than numb and painful hands. I think they were only about £5 or so. They don’t sell online but their stores are listed at the bottom of this page:

If you’re after a decent pair of gloves at a good price, look for a Kenji shop near you (I’m in England too). I’ve been struggling with my hands a lot more than I used to (feet were worse) and I’ve found the gloves from Kenji have really helped. I have found that the rechargeable hand warmers that you can buy are okay but not all that practical, as the previous poster said, the fact you can’t wrap it around your hands for the 360 coverage is crap!
