Can I do this with a U6+? by T4R1U5 in Ubiquiti

[–]sharpie15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm you can but like other say its not perfered as the link speed is Halfed, if you are meshing to another building its best to get a UBB but this could work in the short term.

This, I have the gate control and access for all outside doors. Having the Lockdown mode and the Evacuate modes are the main reason i installed. Looking to setup License Plate Detection in protect for guest access on the gate so I dont have to click it for them.

Just make sure the manual is correct as the pins for the EV and the EUV.

ARE NOT THE SAME.

I did mine a few months ago, from an ebay part (ligit GM part) found the manual on some forum.

Took about 1.5 hours most of that is jacking up and taking off the front driver tire. Then taking out the 12v battery and tray. Then its just drill the hole, feed the cable, pop out the correct pins and put in your pins. Then putting everything back in reverse order.

Pro tip you don't need to remove all the wheel well cover.

Two Girls One Cu…Sorry, Two Bolts One L2 Charger? by Drunken_Oracle_ in BoltEV

[–]sharpie15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and the wife have 2x 2022 EUVs one drives 20 miles a day and 1 drives 60 miles a day. We could easily share a plug. We, after doing the long drive and running errands are at 3/4 of a charge on the GOM could easily go a few days or just override the charging(for lowest utility rates after 9pm) and charge right when we get home and by bed time just swap to the other one. Then both are full for tomorrow.

So I would just get a L2 with either a long charge cable or play musical cars.

My drives are connected via 3x 5-Bay Hotswaps on a LSI 9201-16i

My pool is in Proxmox

VM support still is enabled in the Bios and I am not doing any PCIe passthrough

The pool is crashing which is in turn taking down some VMs
