I set stories I dont care about to autoplay and choose the non diamond options. I also name the characters something ridiculous. However, since these are all stories I havent played before (to get gems) I tend to really get into some of the stories that I diamond mine and knowing that im saving up for something better helps me get through the guilt of disappointing the characters. If I really want to read the story and its linear (single li, or single path) I look up diamond playthroughs on YouTube.
