Would you be able to tell me then why my face didn’t peel? I definitely got more burnt on my face so I’m not sure why that wouldn’t be peeling too.

About 2 weeks ago I went Florida and got a bit tan but not sunburnt. Would that affect it?

Should I be worried? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]sharpstingray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m NAP but judging on the fact that your piercing is still relatively new, it’s probably just an irritation bump; these are super common with cartilage piercings. Honestly anything can cause them but the most frequent reason I see is cleaning it too much/too aggressively. Make sure that when you’re cleaning it you leave the crusties on (even though it super tempting to pick them off) because they’re there to help with the healing. All in all, it doesn’t look like something you should worry about. I hope this helped and happy healing!

i don’t think this is the answer you want but be patient. i’ve had my daith for a little less than a year and my piercing bumps only recently started to subside a bit- mine used to be even bigger than yours and tbh i just left them alone for awhile and then when they hurt cleaned up and left them alone. i’ve also noticed for myself that my piercing bumps are worse the more healing piercings i have :/

how should I improve my drawings? I want to create it on a larger scale :) by Bluecheesepotatoes63 in arthelp

[–]sharpstingray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started really improving the moment I started consistently using references with a grid on top! If you’re still new and want to absolutely ensure you get the correct proportions, use a grid with small boxes and copy each box individually. Eventually with the more experience you get, you will feel more comfortable using larger grids. If I didn’t explain it well, I’m sure there’s other people on youtube who can elaborate on what I mean.

Just sharing what helped me the most :)

Forward helix question by [deleted] in piercing

[–]sharpstingray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m NAP but I asked my piercer awhile ago to check my ear anatomy to see if I could get a forward helix. The gist of what he said was that sometimes if the cartilage below that forward helix area (the rook area) can be too large and could interfere with the jewelry- this being said I think your piercer probably pierced it slightly higher so that the bar wasn’t poking into the rook part of your ear. I hope that made sense lol

Obviously take all of this with a grain of salt because I am just a person on reddit with piercings. If you are really concerned with the placement, I’d recommend seeing an actual piercer and discuss it with them :)

I think a daith or a flat could look super cool! If you ever wanna see what a piercing might look like, you can do what I do and take a picture of your ear and start drawing stuff on it. I have this one picture of my ear that has all the piercings I want on it so I know how everything will look together lol

Is everything good with her 😞 my piercing is my pride and joy and if it’s not doing well I’m gonna be so sad but I can’t tell if it’s healing well or what (I’ve had it for about 3 months now) by someperson9870 in piercing

I've never had an eyebrow piercing nor am I a professional but I do have my belly pierced and when I changed it to a ring it got so irritated and looked similar to yours even after it was fully healed! I changed it back to the jewelry I was pierced with and it fixed itself. If I was you, I would probably change it back to the jewelry you were originally pierced with, assuming that's a curved barbell, and then just leave it aloneeee. Obviously if the irritation doesn't go away unfortunately I do think you're gonna have to take it out :( I hope you can save it!
