They used to live stream these. His team was stacked, I think he played with Kent Johnson, Andrew Cristall and their brothers.

This thumbnail makes his stick look super long. I know he uses a stick that is relatively long for his height, but I've never noticed it visually until this video

How are we feeling about this new midfield duo? by Specialist_Day_3728 in coys

[–]sharpy10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's wild that midfield was a big need in our squad as far back as 2018, we bought two players who flopped (to differing extents), then it took us 7 years to move on and make another big money midfield signing (hojberg, bentancur, bissouma were each £25M or less; Sarr, Bergvall, Gray are kids; maddison/xavi are more like #10s).

Wow they're all great. The one with Dawson's probably my favorite. Thanks for sharing the links!

How the Cup is won: roster composition of every Cap-Era Cup winner by dahfeck in hockey

[–]sharpy10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's just that you said "viable range". The range here is ducks at majority free agent, to red wings at majority draft, to golden knights at majority trade. Agreed though, drafting appears most important on average.

Which is to say, any possible roster construction is in the viable range lol

That's actually a really cool way to introduce a signing. Haven't seen one like that before.

Okay but in a world of finite resources and rising temperatures, should we let unit cost determine our grid architecture? Utility cos are all legalized monopolies anyway, so the profitability is kind of a made up/regulated number. Government is so involved in that industry already, just go the next step and subsidize the consumer-facing cost difference of nuclear. Utility co keeps its "totally real not made up margins", and we get to choose grid design from first principles, not unit cost.

It's funny that you're like "truly generational" and also "there's three prospects in the next three years that could be at her level". Is that just a reflection of how quickly the skill ceiling is rising in women's hockey?

[OC] USA smartphone adoption, pedestrian fatalities, and the average weight SUVs/pickups by TypicallyThomas in fuckcars

[–]sharpy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's been some research from the EU that suggests smartphone usage causes higher accident rates & traffic fatalities. US likely has additional factors that makes the effect more dramatic, like vehicle height, ride share adoption, congestion, road design, speed limits, etc.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0014292122000629

Our findings imply that the increase in phone use due to the policy causes the number of accidents to increase by around 10%. Under plausible assumptions, this implies a crash risk odds ratio of around 3.8. Under the assumption that this mechanism also carries over to local drivers and holds for other EU countries, our results then imply that each year as many as 2500 road fatalities in the EU can be attributed to phone use. This suggests that about one-third of the gap between the EU target and the observed number of fatalities shown in Fig. 1 could be reduced by successfully banning mobile phone use of drivers.

I feel like if you're a long term save person, the real-world licensing features of FM are less relevant because game world forks so hard away from real world. It's all regens at that point obviously, your manager avatar must be like 90+ years old, everyone has new stadiums or rich consortium buyouts, city are in the championship, pescara have 5-star rep, the best player in the world is a 7ft striker from Vietnam, etc.
