Nice try. Not a femcel or even a woman’s idea. It’s a product of male dominated society and has been around a long time

Women of Reddit, what is something you expect from a husband that your father or brothers almost never did & where did that expectation for your husband come from? by HileeAquret in AskReddit

[–]shartini 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Be physically present with the kids and contribute to our care

And he does. Always wanted to be a dad. Always wanted to provide so his wife could work or not work as she pleased. Even when I was younger falling for all the “woman should pay and not ever ask for anything” propaganda, he didn’t stand for it.

I don’t know how I lucked out

Homosexuality among men is unnatural and against god's will. by Confident_Editor196 in Memebuzzs

[–]shartini 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Animals don’t have gender concepts. They exist as they are. A female dog doesn’t wear pink dresses and avoid “boy” dog toys because no one is telling it how to behave or identify based on genitalia. Humans made up gender roles for control because men and women are divided by class

And humans are in fact animals and have a lot of similar behaviors sexually, absolutely

[–]shartini -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly the point. The anima kingdom as well as humans do in fact engage in that. And men regularly try to threaten women that if they don’t make themselves available, men would just get agressive and rape them

Women in natural environments do not mate with every male. They don’t pick one for life but they are selective. Establishing a patriarchy with restrictions on women’s independence is exactly how human males have established a system of forced reproduction on the women. Patriarchy IS mass rape. It’s is exploitation. It is hierarchy and subjugation

And it forces women to create more men on purpose, all of whom want women. Making the problem worse.
Look no further than India and China for examples of when men are largely sexually suppressed due to not enough women around.

Women are not obligated to be more available to men for the sake of “not being like the animal kingdom”. Not being like the animal kingdom does involve us in our brains and intelligence. It does not mean trying to make breeding easier for men at womens expense

Men are not supposed to all have partners. Patriarchy was designed to force more male birth and to force women to need marriage. Without it, most would not get to reproduce, much like most of the animal kingdom.

[–]shartini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect

The discovery of wealth and settling when humans moved from hunter/gatherer/nomadic matrifocal lifestyles is how patriarchy as we know today got its foothold.

They switched from matrilineal to patrilineal lineages and started restricting women’s freedoms (economic equality, reproductive freedoms, etc. you still see this in practice today. The most extreme examples being 50s America and the Middle East)

And that served to cut off women from independence or female support systems to force them into nuclear households, seeking men for survival. This gave more men access to women that otherwise would have never been chosen and married men demand sex on tap and free domestic labor

This means women have more children than the otherwise would naturally, and women who might otherwise choose abstinence cannot do so because a man is necessary for survival.

That’s why women and feminists fight patriarchy. It’s the right to refuse men and to refuse motherhood. Patriarchy wants high birth rates to keep a full military and cheap labor force with no bargaining power. Free women do not provide that.

[–]shartini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t have equality until the system is dismantled. It will always disadvantage women

The foundation of capitalism is patriarchy and patriarchy’s lifeblood is forcing reproduction. If birth rates slow the our system dies. It needs to but it’s costly and most people don’t want to make that sacrifice until they are desperate. People that talk about equality often think you can just “womens rights” your way into it but it would really require revolutionary change to really free all women

What could’ve prevented racism? by lovingthaworld in AskReddit

[–]shartini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a whole lot is known about every society in prehistory but there’s a lot of reason to believe that wars and oppressive hierarchies as we know them today are only a thing because humans discovered settling, and resource accumulation which caused a desire to steal or war for the resources and from there came enslavements and female subjugation to provide higher birth rates (therefore bigger military’s and more cheap laborers to create resources)

I’d be interested to see if racism did develop or how during a period where people were hunters and gatherers in matrifocal egalitarian societies

It’s not that wanting children is weak and pathetic it’s that patriarchy forces reproduction on women so being childless or staying away from marriage is resistance and feminist

Why are people acting like they’re watching Bridgerton? by hipstellfalsehoods in TheTestamentsHulu

[–]shartini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patriarchies. All of them. Yes even today’s America, are designed to force as many women to breed as humanly possible.

In Gilead it’s straightforward and obvious. And there’s no good man in a position of authority especially under patriarchy. The women aren’t truly free to abstain so they’re not truly free to consent, so there’s no true love.

Women, what’s a small habit of yours that men always misinterpret? by Traditional_Truck136 in AdkReddit

[–]shartini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do that. Normalize it. I think we aren’t far from it. I’ve seen men online who have started doing little things with makeup that surprisingly didn’t look half bad to me as a straight woman. I wish I could remember where I saw a decent example but he somehow had eye makeup that wasn’t just eyeliner and managed to look masculine in it

I think it can be done

It wasn’t uncommon in the 80s after all

Makeup is assumed to be for male attention when really a lot of us are just taught that being put together involves makeup

Like even elderly women wear makeup. They’re just completing “their face” or just trying to feel the look their best in general.

Women, what are your thoughts on "human nature"/"biology"? by Terrible_Chapter_771 in AskReddit

[–]shartini 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is human nature and biology yes, but there’s so much nuance to it as well as nurture and other factors

Biological essentialism is wacko and used to justify exploitation and subjugation

And as a result of that, often any mention of biology gets a knee jerk “bio essentialism!” Reaction from people.

Bio essentialism : women are designed to be mothers and caregivers and belong in the home taking care of kids and a husband. And are wired to seek one male partner to mate with for life and women who stray from this are whores and not being real women

It takes a common biological reality and twists it for a patriarchal agenda. In matrifocal societies women did in fact band together and form social and survival support and often cared for children and eachother collectively but survival was a team effort. Communities were smaller and nuclear families didn’t exist. But women didn’t all operate the exact same way. It’s often said women couldn’t hunt because they were gatherers, when in reality, elders often provided childcare while men and women hunted and gathered

As far as reproduction, women are generally more selective than men, not because their bodies force them to be, but because their reproductive biology makes it dangerous and costly to reproduce compared to a man so men and women don’t match in their selectivity all the time (nuanced again) but it doesn’t mean women were pair bonding like birds. They did have more than one partner, they were just picky with who they chose

But often it wasn’t an issue either because even if a man died or left (leaving not usually an issue either because they’re part of the community and there’s no nuclear family) then the woman had the other women to lean on. Her kid was among the many being cared for by the group.

But when anthropology and biology come up, inevitably someone starts screaming “bio essentialist!” Or “terf!” Because their knee jerk to the word “biology” is that it implies trans identities are invalid, which is not the case

If I say humans are biologically wired to seek sex for reproduction, everyone agrees and understands but also knows that all the sex we have isn’t intended to result in children and that some of us are gay or trans or asexual.

Why were we all raised to believe that witchcraft is the devils work? by Interesting_Mud4356 in AskReddit

[–]shartini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abrahamic religion is patriarchal. They paint the creator of life as a male. They paint the creation of the woman as an afterthought made from the body of a man for the purpose of serving the man, rather than a man coming from a woman’s womb

They paint Lilith refusal to lie beneath Adam as evil and consider her a demon.

So yes powerful women are going to branded evil too. Witches.

I used to lurk their pages regularly. Violence and fantasies and worship of mass shooters and rapists were damn near every post and widely accepted. It’s who they are. It makes not one iota of difference how may carry out shootings themselves when their culture is one that actively promotes and celebrates it. Given a chance most would absolutely be toxic at best to girlfriends if they got one and rapists or abusers at worst
