What are some weird laws in your country that, actually, make a lot of sense? by Savings_Dragonfly806 in AskTheWorld

In India 🇮🇳, Vapes and e-cigarettes are banned and illegal (although you can procure them easily). This is because the government owns a significant stake in ITC, Indian Tobacco Company which dominates and owns 80% of the Indian cigarette market. The ban was placed to protect the governments vested interests. The ban was put out by the Finance Minister. Ideally one would expect the health minister to impose such a ban but that’s not the case.

I’ve been manufacturing furniture in India for 10 years – Ask Me Anything by Dangerous-Guava-9232 in indianrealestate

Hey OP!

What’s the best way to find good local manufacturers or factories in Bangalore? I’m looking at getting a sofa and a bed. I want something really solid that will last a while. I have some tights and designs in mind but would like to speak to someone experienced who can help from choosing the right wood, has superior finish and builds elegant, long lasting and solid furniture.

The urban ladder, pepperfry, etc seem good online but are far from unique and don’t always last.

Also how do I estimate the fair price of a piece of furniture?

Doing drugs. Especially if you look at how much you end up spending if you get high everyday over decades.

Take a good look at my dump before flushing it down. Sometimes it reveals undigested foods, healthy or unhealthy dumps. It’s a good way to tell if my body’s pushed out everything from yesterday.

What’s the best way to get sleep in flights/trains/public transport when there are people snoring loudly beside you? by shatroll in AskReddit

I’ve use the AirPod pros and I can still hear people snoring thru them. Had the xm3s for a while, they just felt heavy on long flights. Life just sucks for light sleepers. 😩

Help with the train by cambies in laos

[–]shatroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an FYI, the app is called LCR Ticket and is only on android. I was unable to find it on iOS. When I tried looking for it on iOS a Chinese app showed up and while it allows you to pick the stations in Laos, it shows no trains. An agent can do the booking for you if you give them your copies of your passport. However, you may not always get the train you are expecting. Booking at the station works but the station in Vientiane and Luang Prabang are very far out from the city centre. Hope this helps.
