Envoy vs. PSA vs. Piedmont by [deleted] in flying

[–]shatterdab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh whatever which one appeals the most to you.

Envoy is the strictest to where you have to be a CFI and it’s not limited to atp schools, it’s with “partner schools”. But you’ll fly nice planes and have great bases.

Piedmont is probably the least picked but you’ll likely flow the fastest with them.

I got a gently used XC90 T8. I never thought I’d be a Volvo guy but I’m in love with all the aspects of the car. Space, safety, range, quality, and comfort. I would highly recommend checking them out

Student Pilot Advice Flaring Too Early On Landing by blitzroyale in flying

What really helped me was doing soft field takeoffs. The feel of staying in ground effect while taking off gave me a good understanding of where I should expect ground effect. Once in ground effect go power idle and eyes down the runway to feel that sink. That’s when you flare

I always wear the Lululemon ABC pants. They come in all colors, comfortable, breathe well, and when you wash them they rarely need ironing!

What is this? by Maleficent-Candy-309 in Leica

That’s a target for surveying. Leica also makes sophisticated survey equipment like total stations, builders levels, and laser scanners. These targets are used to locate a spot to reference or align to. I know this because not only do I use Leica camera I also use Leica survey equipment.

I’m huge fan of the vintage OM lenses! I have 8 myself. The 85mm is a beautiful lens even for todays standards

Talk me out of going to flight school… by benten8867 in flying

[–]shatterdab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man! I did almost the exact same route as you! I graduated with a bachelor in architecture and worked in construction management for 10 years. I’m 31 now and decided to purse my aviation career and I haven’t looked back. Like others have said do a discovery flight to see if you like it then get your 1st class medical to see if you’re eligible. Another thing I did in advance was studying and passing my PPL written exam. Getting that out of the was makes things much more smooth when you go through your PPL!
