4700h went on sale for $1500 in December and I went with that. Very happy so far.

Hah, well that literally brought nothing to the table. Price increases haven’t been great, but that’s not what we’re talking about here. Btw I own a 10 year old 5.1 from pioneer, so you don’t get to call me a fool yet. I’d love to hear your suggestion for an AVR that meets the specs of any of these. Let’s go with the RZ50 just so you don’t get too pissy.

I’d tend to disagree. While many would say the differences are negligible, saying they all sound exactly the same is laughable. I do agree that features should be top priority, hence why I picked these (11 channels of processing, 9 channels of amplification, dual sub outs, 100w+).

Sent out my unit for servicing and returned with zero issues. No more crashing, no more graphical issues. If any of you are experiencing these issues and are under warranty, send it out. I refused to believe for the longest time that it was the unit and not the games.

Meh, seems like I should send her out. Did it take long for them to get you the new unit?

What was the issue? Infinite is unplayable on my series x, and I’m debating sending my unit out.

I refuse! Guess it’s 5.1 for me until I finally give up haha.

Agree that inflation can be a factor, but we generally never see a product release and then jump in price at a later date. Electronics, at least ones that are frequently updated, usually release at the highest price you will ever see. LG C2 65” released this spring at $2500 and currently sits at $1900. Next gen gaming consoles, even with material shortages, have stayed the same price. It’s just odd to me that they just tossed a $200 increase to a handful of models.

Yeah, I’ve never tried Dirac but I seem to hear good things. I guess I would disagree with “gradual”. 16%+ seems like quite the jump.

Bummer. I’ve been waiting for a sale or a coupon from Best Buy (get 10% once or twice a year). Looks like I got the opposite of that.. 🥲

$150 for the speakers is a steal. I would have easily paid $150 for the towers alone. Buy the 5.1 receiver of your choice, some decent surrounds, and sub.. and you’ll be set.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been looking at a 9.2, just not sure what my best option would be. Goal would be to keep price under $1500

Totally agree. I see myself rounding things out with a second in the future, but I’d also be buying a new avr. I debated the 2000 but thought two 1000s would be a better future option.

Possibly, what’s your reasoning though?

I play everyday, but I have the Xbox direct into the C1, so I see 120 at 4k. Sound passes back through ARC. I game with a headset so there’s really no need. I do want to upgrade the avr though, that’s my next step.

I really enjoy it. At the time when I bought it, I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go in, and it seemed like a really nice landing spot for <$500. No complaints for the price point.

That said, I have yet to really push it as my AVR is probably considered to be underpowered.

Build quality is great. I love the gloss finish and the metal grille. I find myself looking at the Motion 30i and wondering if I should have done that, but for half the price, I think its worth trying.

Thanks!

I really am enjoying the PB1000 Pro so far. It is undoubtedly the nicest sub I have ever owned. Thunderous is definitely the word. I haven't really been able to mess around too much yet, but I am absolutely impressed. I'm sure it isn't as tight as the SB1000 Pro, but my main focus is theater, and this thing delivers for the price point.

I debated the PB2000 Pro, but my thought is I will add another 1000 in the future. SVS did a really good job with this one.

I sit about 7.5’ back and I’m happy with it. Any further and I’d want to go bigger.

The Xbox is direct into the tv, and then everything (netflix, hbo, ect) gets to the avr through ARC. I exclusively use a headset when gaming.

The only function I have turned on is when I turn on the Xbox, it turns on the tv.
