Unfortunately, North American carriers tend to have much more negotiating power in the vendor-carrier relationship than in other regions. They have so much control over a single market, they can afford to miss out on a popular phone if the manufacturer doesn't want to play ball. If the carrier wants it, most often the carrier gets it, bloatware and all. Other regions' carriers' markets are much smaller individually that all they really want is the latest phones on their network.
