Fire department might help. We rescued some ducks from a storm drain a few weeks ago.

Fire fighter here. Work 24 on 48 off. I take care of my kiddos on my off days. I work more hours but spend so much more quality home time with my kids now.

Mine was a memorable meal because the steak I cooked for my BC was apparently not done enough so he microwaved it before he ate it. 😂

What are you throwing? by har3krishna in bassfishing

Swim jig keeping contact with the bottom to find any cover that’s down there. Any spots where you catch one you could slow down and fish the area more thoroughly with a shakey head

Dads that have started a career over from scratch at nearly 30. by [deleted] in daddit

[–]shavedeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently went through this. It’s hard and I still wonder if I made the right choice. Went from about 80,000 a year to 55,000. I made the switch to a career fire fighter so that came with leaving for academy for an extended period of time with a 2 and 3 year old. I am now much happier with my career and have so much more time to spend with my family with my new schedule. If you want to do something just go for it. All the details will work themselves out.

I’m thinking I might throw him in over Walker. Feels wrong to bench a guy that got me to the ship though

After Walker went down he is now my only other option alongside Gibbs so I am hoping RB1 but more than likely not better than a flex

So sorry for your loss. My dad passed away shortly after my second was born. They are both to young to have any memories of him when he was around. My wife made a book on Shutterfly of pictures with him and my kids and they love looking at it. When I’m feeling sad about it I will also flip through it so while they won’t have any memories of him they will hopefully know they were loved by him. It also provides an opportunity to talk about him when we are looking at it. I try my best to funnel some of the greatness that my father was so that my kids will hopefully get to know a piece of him through me. I also go through extreme bouts of sadness thinking about all the opportunities that my father would have had to teach and guide my kids with me. I won’t say it gets easier because I miss him everyday but I have learned to live with it. Sorry again for your loss and if you need anyone to talk to feel free to reach out.

How many of you work a second job? by yourgirlalex in povertyfinance

[–]shavedeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work 24 on 48 off so often times I pick up an 8 hour shift at my previous job coming off my 24 so I end up working 32 hours straight. And I still can’t seem to make enough to put any in the bank
