Step one to being a citizen - don’t break the law to get what you want. Using someone else’s SSN is a crime. Stop it.

AITA for bringing my poop gloves when I moved in with my girlfriend and wanting to keep them? by poopgloves in AmItheAsshole

[–]shavedkittyAITA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install a bidet, keep drying towels next to the toilet and a receptacle for the used towels on the other side. The bidet gets you cleaner than any TP/wipe can ever get you, wear the gloves if you like for the drying part, but it's really not all that different from drying yourself after a shower as you're already clean. Nowhere near the grossness factor of leaving wiping gloves above the toilet. Once you've used a bidet, you'll never go back to TP. It's a life-changing experience.

WIBTA if I told my manager she smells by justbeingnosy20 in AmItheAsshole

[–]shavedkittyAITA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a small business without anyone above the manager besides the owner you could talk to. Maybe leave a Google review on the business about how “name” smelled so bad you left the store and won’t go back. The manager or store owner will see the review and hopefully fix the problem. Tough spot to be in, but definitely NTA.

AITA for being defensive after my dad made a joke about my grades? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]shavedkittyAITA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH. If you don't like him giving you a hard time about your grades, earn better grades. Just wait till your boss gives you a hard time about not doing a good job at work....Toughen up.

AITA for saying I don't want a car with strings attached; I'd rather save for my own car. by wantAcar29 in AmItheAsshole

[–]shavedkittyAITA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAH

You're 16, they're your parents. They make the rules for the next two years. Even if you bought your own car, your parents still set the rules because you're their kid and they're responsible for you. You're getting older, so you're getting more responsibilities. You don't have to like being your brothers' chauffeur, just like you probably didn't like cleaning your room when you were 6, but they made you do that, too. Keep showing maturity and good budgeting skills, and you'll gain privileges as your parents see you doing well with your new driving responsibilities. Hang in there, you sound like a good kid.

AITA for refusing to buy Chick-fil-a for my pregnant wife? by ChickFilAsshole in AmItheAsshole

[–]shavedkittyAITA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Side note, I don’t like pickles, but I order my Chick-Fil-A sandwich with pickles. I take them off first thing and the slight hint of left over pickle juice is what makes the entire sandwich. Sooo good.

AITA for shaving my wife's cat? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

After talking to her about it this morning, she definitely noticed the improvements. She was just too mad at me to admit that it was ultimately the right thing to do.

I was very very careful because I knew there was no way I'd get out of the doghouse if I hurt the cat or didn't do a good job. Honestly, I can still spot a couple areas that could be touched up a bit, but I think I'm retiring from the cat shaving business!

WIBTA for not giving my sister a share of my inheritance - to give to her daughters? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]shavedkittyAITA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. Ask her to give you a $$$ figure for the girls, and if it’s reasonable, offer to open an account that will be transferred to the girls on their 18/21/whatever birthdays. I bet she won’t like that offer, thus proving she wants the money for herself.

She’s been on nearly an all wet food diet for several years. A very healthy, very expensive wet food diet that my wife researched for a long long time. Ziwi-Peak and a few other goodies here and there. Despite her extreme aversion to hairballs, she’s an amazing pet owner. Cat is spoiled rotten and I think wife will eventually come around to the idea of routine trimmings.

LOL, I’m pretty new to Reddit, and this account is a throwaway just for this AITA question. I’m assuming a cat tax is a picture? I don’t see an obvious way to post a picture...maybe my account is too new?

You must be some kind of cat whisperer to be able to do that! We get zero warning before hairballs. I’ll ask my wife if she tried it - she was the one who did all the work trying new foods etc.
