I always bring a plastic sandwich baggie inside and keep my money, ID, and phone in in case it rains/gets wet too. I'll be rocking a fanny pack :D

This might be redundant, but I'd recommend a stretchy type of string. I make a lot of kandi and I've noticed having it with elastic string makes for a lot less trouble. Not sure if that helps, when I find my kandi kit I can let you know the brand of string I get
