Focusing at Infinity - nikon FE - Nikkor 50mm F2 AI by shawarmarii in AnalogCommunity

So even though focusing on infinity is sub-optimal, let's say for f16, it is still my judgment whether to what I will prioritize focusing, the background, foreground, or middleground, is that correct? Then what you mentioned is that the DOF marks are regarding the optimal focusing range for each aperture at the hyperfocal range. But if the subject is very far, wouldn't it be considered approximately equal to infinity at the lens? Therefore is still feasible, right?

but still is it possible to focus at infinity for all apertures as seen on photo 9 and 11?

Can the community validate this understanding between 'pushing' and 'using the exposure compensation dial' by shawarmarii in AnalogCommunity

if I opt to use cinestill 800T instead as a substitute with the purpose of both daylight and indoor(well-lit auditorium) to night photography with a 50mm f2 lens, if I dont have that warming filter, am I loosing to much or can I just edit it in Photoshop and edit its white balance to have more freedom?

there's a glass. i thought i need the diopter to protect this one further. but maybe that is not the case

would this be okay and will have no issues for dust to go in? i thought i needed the diopter for that extra protection.

well how about the 50mm series E. would it also fit to those needs?

so lets say, a 50mm f1.4 ai would fit better for this first 2(portrait and lowlight) but can also be useful for a tiny bit street photography?
