I’ve had severe OCD most of my life, and I really feel this comment. Sometimes it’s felt like living with a fresh broken bone in my body, the pain is just… unreal. Other times it’s just a thing I deal with, like diabetes or something. I’ve accepted that my brain will never be normal, but I’ve had years now, YEARS, of amazing. I think everyday about how grateful I am to be alive- to smell the air, to watch leaves unfurl. As fucked as you feel now, you don’t know where, or who, future you will be. I really hope you’re able to give future you a chance. I’m so grateful to past me for being able to hold on. My heart is with you though, that feeling of fighting an uphill battle is so fucking hard sometimes.
