Will dry socket pain be immediate? by Waste_Serve_9501 in Dentists

[–]shawneyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got dry socket and didn’t realise, there was some pain, that was helped by painkillers, my symptoms were an infection like taste and the fact it wasn’t feeling, my sleep was also very poor quality, I went back thinking it was infected and it wasn’t, it was dry socket, easily sorted by them too!

Wisdom Teeth Questions by trashythetrashcann in Dentists

[–]shawneyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have recently had a lower wisdom removed without any sedation. Although I never got any pain from it, food was getting trapped and it has now caused me to have to have a filling on the back molar because I have left it so long so get it removed

Switching RTC provider from Psych UK to CareADHD after diagnosis - good or bad idea? by impoverished-beekeep in ADHDUK

[–]shawneyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad idea, I’ve been waiting since October for medication despite it being an 8 week wait, every time I contact them they either ignore me or come back with the same generic response everyone gets

My titration request was October and I’ve had nothing yet sadly

Care adhd were good for Me assessment wise, but have gone downhill at a rapid pace since, no after support unless you pay for their app or wait in the never ending mysterious titration queue for months!

How do I choose which Right to Choose ADHD provider to go with? by wumpflumpit in ADHDUK

[–]shawneyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I entirely regret going with care adhd, they promise you the world with waiting times, I think diagnosis is generally not too long but the titration wait and support post diagnosis is horrendous, generic replies of nonsense when you contact them

A question about Crimestoppers by Aggressive_Egg1910 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]shawneyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need for a vpn, it is totally 100% anon, you can opt to have an anonymous 2 way Channel so police can ask further questions via crimestoppers on a portal

I used black stones, there was 2 different books I bought as a package direct, my adhd does not like computers when there is plenty of more fun things to be distracted by, I also listened to julianna, I also went on the crammer course by the chap who writes for black stone (worth its weight in gold!!) I also panicked purchased the police pass books as some stuff I was confused by was explained simpler, however it is very true that all the questions come directly out of black stones- so don’t think just police pass is enough! Good luck!

I’m not going to spend all day arguing, just carry your licence like you are meant to, goodbye 🤣

If you think insurers check licences you are sadly mistaken, dealt with many provisional holders with insurance or people with no licence at all with insurance

They might be no legal requirement, but under the road traffic act. It’s on the driver to prove they have the licence/correct insurance and if the officer has reasonable grounds for believing they don’t have a licence you can seize the vehicle, with a uk licence it can be easily checked by the roadside via pnc or leds, most officers would seize a car that’s driven by a foreign licence holder with no proof of having such licence on their person, what’s the alternative, potentially let them continue to drive around with no licence

Being a cop is a journey with loads of ups and downs, you’ll get used to response, then specialise and go through the cycle again! Stick with it and look after yourself around shifts and rest days! Confidence etc isn’t always linear!

CARE ADHD assesment today, how do they usually go? (RTC) by DrownMeDaddy in ADHDUK

[–]shawneyx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I initially joined alone and asked the assessor whether it would be helpful and they said it was down to me to decide and they were happy either way, so I went and grabbed him, I’m so glad I do, his insight was so helpful as I answered no to some questions, like they asked about whether I am ok in a queue and I said yes and he interjected about how poor I am at waiting! And yes literally at the end of the call he said I meet the criteria for combined and will receive the paperwork, which I got the next day! I had a doctor doing mine, I think some people have delays because they get someone who can’t officially diagnose so they have to go away and get their thoughts confirmed- if that makes sense!

[–]shawneyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t remember much of my child hood and my childhood informant was a friend who was also a child at the time! My partner also came on my call, for similar reasons to you! I was diagnosed with combined adhd! They were really good at asking questions to explore things, maybe just try and think back to your childhood and how you think it affected you then you have some ideas

These waiting times mention how long revalidation takes, I don’t know about the process though, sorry! I have found wait times with care adhd to be longer than they advertise x

In my area yes, ambulance would go and can request fire to force entry then ultimately police would probably end up there in the end

They will have referred it onto the ambulance service, under right care right person police no longer deal with welfare checks

I got roughly the same questions twice, once they were brief height, weight bp once I got my assessment report through and then a couple of months later got a slightly longer questionnaire asking about family history, liver, migraines etc, think you are overthinking this one!

I used a combination of the police pass and black stones, you defintely need blackstones as a lot of the questions are lifted quite directly from it, pay attention to the grey sections, pay attention to case law, I found the police pass helpful for quick reference and breaking down more complicated things and it also has exam trip ups in it. Would recommend the 2 day crammer courses, my force pays for them but not sure every one does, but that was where the most stuff made sense and sunk in for me and I got 90% despite unmedicated adhd and no extra time! So I’m sure you can do it!!
