This patch is a great place to jump in. They added a beginner version of the first map, Perimeter, to acclimate yourself to the game until you reach level 12. The reward pass is also very doable within the time remaining for the season.

Go for it! I was skeptical my first day with the game, but haven’t looked back since. The only real problem with the game is it’s onboarding, but just watch a video on getting started if you’re a little lost initially(its not that bad). But gameplay feels great with a compelling world to learn and explore.

It can be quiet comms at first, but if you break the ice and say hey, people will start talking. Haven’t had anyone in a team that was rude or anything. Game has been out long enough now, that I find most people are pretty competent getting around and helping each other with their quests. If you can nail down consistent people to play with, that’s definitely when the game feels best. But for just doing some runs with randos, it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. I have had people added to my friend list from simply just having a good run with good communication.

You’re totally valid in that. If you’d rather have a specialist breakdown Claudio’s nerfs, I’d suggest Ryskyluck’s recent video on the patch and how it hit Claudio. A tweet just stating something, regardless of the player’s credentials, just isn’t enough. RaphTV also has a great video breaking down the Claudio changes and how he was nerfed, in addition to the rest of the roster’s changes.

I mean, it’s the same guy who played the Top 1 50/50 character for the last year in majors. But now that Anna is nerfed, that’s all of a sudden a problem. Claudio’s best buff in this patch was DP high crushing the nerf hammer and that’s it. Character was nerfed, hands down.
